Hikers heading into Great Basin National Park via Snake Creek Road will find Pinnacle Group Campsite at the second marked pullout along that route, positioned between the road and Snake Creek. No fee is required. The site has two picnic tables and a metal fire ring, with trash bins and a vault toilet nearby. Snake Creek runs dry by summer, so campers must bring all their own water. The road is narrow, single-lane, and dusty, and a park sign prohibits RVs and trailers past the first pullout. Groups with multiple vehicles can use the vault toilet pullout for overflow parking. Trailheads sit at the road's end, making this a practical base for day hikes. No pets are permitted, and campgrounds around Great Basin National Park include nearby alternatives such as North Pinnacle Campsites — Great Basin National Park roughly a quarter mile west along the same road.
