Within Great Basin National Park, Eagle Peak Campsites sits at the end of Snake Creek Road, marking the furthest point accessible by vehicle along this route. The National Park Service maintains three free sites positioned alongside Snake Creek under large shade trees, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. An ADA-accessible vault toilet serves the area along with trash and recycling facilities.
The narrow, single-lane access road prohibits RVs and trailers beyond the park's first pullout, limiting access to smaller vehicles only. Campers must filter water from the creek since no potable water is available on-site. Hiking trails branch from the road nearby, while Snake Creek Campsites — Great Basin National Park provides an alternative option closer to the park entrance.
Description
Snake Creek may be closed due to snow in winter months, check our current conditions page for up-to-date information: https://www.nps.gov/grba/planyourvisit/conditions.htm. High clearance vehicles are recommended for these rough, dirt roads. RVs and trailers are not recommended at any time.
