Angel Lake RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting just off Interstate 80 in Wells, Nevada, Angel Lake RV Park functions primarily as a highway stopover rather than a destination camp. All sites are pull-through with full hookups, gravel surfaces, and level ground, making setup straightforward for large rigs. The park accommodates RVs up to 70 feet, and flexible check-in hours mean late arrivals are workable. Shade is minimal. Young trees have been planted throughout, but they haven't yet grown to provide meaningful cover.

Highway noise is the most consistent trade-off reviewers mention. One camper noted the park sits "far enough off highway to reduce noise," though others flag it as a real factor, particularly for light sleepers without good rig insulation. The sites themselves run tight, and the park can feel crowded when traffic along I-80 is heavy. Cleanliness gets repeated mention across reviews, with multiple campers noting the grounds are well-maintained. WiFi is available but has been reported as intermittent.

Angel Lake itself sits roughly 20 minutes away by car and includes hiking access, giving travelers a reason to extend a one-night stop into a short layover. The town of Wells provides gas and other basic services nearby. Campers looking at places to camp near Wells will find a handful of other options along the same corridor, including Mountain Shadows RV Park and Crossroads RV Park within a mile.

Angel Lake RV Park makes the most sense for RV travelers who need a clean, functional overnight stop between California and Utah and aren't expecting much beyond reliable hookups and a well-kept lot.

Excellent Service

It’s kind of in between big sites along hwy 80, so it was more of a stopover. With that being said, I couldn’t have felt more at home when I walked in. Friendly and wonderful owners. And it’s a quick 20 min trip to Angel Lake which is a beautiful little reason to stop over and include a quick hike.

Clean but noisy

This was literally the cleanest, tidiest campground I’ve ever stayed in. All gravel and few trees, so not great for tents but a good spot for RVs. The lady working the office was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it is just off the highway, so there was a lot of traffic noise. If you have excellent insulation, then maybe that’s not a problem for you.

Right off the freeway

Located next to highway 80. Easy location when traveling between California and Utah. Not sure where the lake is but a good place for a one nighter.
