Mountain Shadows RV Park

Mountain Shadows RV Park operates seasonally from March through October, accommodating RVs up to 53 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Located on the outskirts of Wells, Nevada, this privately managed facility provides gravel sites with standard amenities including restrooms, showers, and a dump station.

The park sits close enough to town that campers can walk to a hardware store and grocery store for supplies. Train noise occurs periodically as rail lines pass through the area, though highway sounds from the interstate remain more distant. Cynthia K. notes the "restrooms/bathrooms are older, but very clean," though occasional maintenance issues with individual fixtures may occur.

Reviewers consistently mention the cleanliness of facilities, particularly the shower houses. The campground serves as a practical overnight stop for travelers, with friendly staff and competitive pricing. Sites tend to be dusty during summer months, typical for the high desert environment.

For campers needing reliable cell service or planning extended stays, checking current conditions proves worthwhile given the rural location. The park allows pets and accepts reservations, making it suitable for both planned trips and last-minute stops along major travel routes through northeastern Nevada.

Campers regularly cited friendly staff, clean facilities, and excellent value as key strengths. Some noise from trains and traffic noted, but most found it suitable for overnight stays.

Good stopover for a tenter

Clean showers! A little noisy, but I slept well. Very well maintained. Cooled off at night and wind died down.

Established Campground

This is an older campground. Service was friendly. The price was the best on our trip!

It was great after a long day on the road to sit & relax. This campground is on the outskirts of Wells. There's some traffic noise, but the Interstate noise was faint. There are loud trains that go through occasionally. It's dry& dusty, but it was summer. Gravel sites.

I didn't look at the laundry. Restrooms/bathrooms are older, but very clean. One sink& one toilet were out of order in the women's during our stay.

I would stay again if we're passing through!
