West Fork Denny Creek

There’s a cute creek we managed to camp right next to in our tent at an officially designated campsite, which is really nice. On the main road you turn right after a KOA, and this national forest is behind it. Kind of funny to think people are paying $50/night in front of us and it’s free here. Down side is this area seems to be fairly popular with dirt bikes and arc’s etc. So there’s some regular traffic of people driving by the campsite up further into the forest with their toys. I don’t really hear the dirt bikes and arc’s though so I’m guessing they are driving pretty far up into the hills. There are zero amenities save for a few stone fire rings. I have good cell service. We’ve been here 3 nights so far and each night campers show up and in he morning they’re gone. Seems like a popular quick overnight stop. All in all, the view is nice, the sound of the creek is peaceful and for zero dollars I have no complaints.

Update: I have complaints. I arrived on a Tuesday and it hasn’t been very busy but it’s now Saturday and I am surrounded by RV’s transit vans and a couple of campers. I struggled to find somewhere to pee with any privacy. So, I would say it maybe gets crowded on the weekend.
