This is really the gem of Missouri state parks. Rv sites are all full 30/50 amp with water and sewer. All spots have plenty of room but are back in. The pads are perfectly level and are concrete. Camp hosts are helpful and kind. The lodge is in walking distance and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is pretty good also! They offer inside dining but the best place to eat and enjoy the outdoors is on their huge deck. Wonderful place all around and Missouri really has done this one the right way!

Missouris newest state park was a huge disappointment. The campground is void of all trees!! in the summer there would not relief from the sun if you were in a tent. The facilities are top notch but it does not make up for the campground.

Excellent park for trout fishing in Missouri. Camping available from March through October, when trout are stocked daily and available to keep a limit of four per person per day. Well-maintained sites are subject to flash-flooding during heavy rain. Shower and bath houses are decent. Park has privately owned lodge with store, restaurant and motel rooms and free Wifi. Beautiful scenery along spring-fed river.

If you’re traveling through southern Missouri and looking for a park to stay in, this is a great choice! Right off the interstate and easy to get in to. Site are graveled and level, and most are full hookups. The majority also have picnic table and fire pit. Plenty of potty spots for the babies scattered throughout the park and a 25 acre trail area. John, the owner, is a great guy! Friendly and welcoming, he keeps the park well maintained. Will definitely be using again!

This place literally has everything you can want from walk in tent sites to an entire lodge with all the amenities. Campsites are all well manicured and offer everything from basic sites to full RV hook ups. The only negative is that we have experienced are that you need to reserve your side months in advance because this campground is so popular. And the only other negative is that all of the campsites are out in the open with no shade. But other than that it’s easy to see why the state park is a perfect representation of how much pride Missouri takes in its conservation and park system.

This campground has pretty much everything you could want: running water, hot showers, a general store, direct river access, ranger programs, shaded campsites. Half the sites can be reserved, but half are walk-in only. The host and rangers are great and keeping the partiers from getting crazy. Walk down to the river at night for a beautiful viewing of the moon and stars!

My family has been coming to Pulltite for a couple decades. In Spring time it's fantastic! Not much for hiking in the campground itself, but if you like to paddle...there's plenty of places to put in and take out for canoeing and kayaking along the Current River. For those who like to "rough it" ...but not too much, there's some basic showers (2 locations) and flush toilets (3 locations). Might be a bit of a walk from some of the campsites, but nothing too unreasonable. 2-5 minute walk at most. The raccoons and armadillos can be a bit rowdy and too close for comfort some nights, so secure your food carefully. Also, in recent years, black bear sightings are becoming more frequent. Keep that in mind. This is not a place for the kids to run wild. Keep an eye out for copperheads and water moccasins along with black widow spiders. The gnats can get pretty bad in the evenings but quickly go away once the sun sets. The closer you stay toward the camp hosts and the store, the more crowded the sites are. But if you get down the road farther, the camp sites space out a bit more and offer some privacy. Some sites even have immediate river access, others do not.

The sites we reserve yearly have river access and are down a "dead end" portion of road which gives us a ton of privacy for our group.

Pulltite campground IS park of the National Park Service, so keep in mind all the regulations and quiet times and rules that come with staying in a National Park.

Clean with a general store and huge restroom

This is a great campground if you want to spend the day next to the river or use it as a launch, mid-float overnight, or an end point of a day on the Current River. There is a private rafting/canoeing outfitter shop on site, but it wasn’t open when we were there (we came for the sole purpose of camping, and our favorite Current River outfitter is 7 miles upstream anyway).There was some really bad flooding a few years ago that caused some significant damage in the area that closed campground as well as some others along the river, but the campground seems to have come out ok (or they really did a good job cleaning up!). Sites are not that private, but nice and level and grassy with the usual fire ring and picnic table. SOme sites had trees for hammocks and some, not so much. We came on Easter weekend and since it was a bit cool and rain was expected, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We did have a nice visit with a couple from Vermont on their way back from seeing the Sandhill Crane migration in Nebraska. Our site was on the river side of the loop, a short walk to the canoe landing as well as the bathhouse. The bathhouse was clean enough, with showers that were functional. We have used the bathrooms while waiting for our outfitter to pick us up after a day of floating, and even on really busy weekends with sell out crowds in the campground the bathhouse seemed to be clean enough.

This campground is right on the Current River. We had the best time here. You can rent a canoe right here at the store and the people are extremely friendly! The store has everything you need, or forgot! Just remember that they only have 20 sites that are first come, but more that you can make reservations for. Also, you must make a reservation for the canoe!

Enjoy canoeing this area, we try to go every year. This is also a great place to overnight camp and continue on down the river!

One of my favorite campgrounds. Spots right on the current river make it a beautiful place to stay or a great place to put in or take out. Usually not too crowded, and the spots are pretty secluded.

This campsite is great if you are wanting to float on the Current River. We have stayed at Pulltite Campsite every summer for 6 years in a row, and it never disappoints.

This is a very popular campground during the “in-season”. Limited spots that can’t be reserved, and many that can. Tent spaces, RV hook-ups ans group spots. Many people who canoe the Current River stay here. Good, clean restrooms with separate shower stalls. Nightly fun activities, close to many different hiking trails, and an on-site general store.

Paved throughout. Plenty of clean restrooms and showers. MAKE RESERVATIONS! This campground exploded in the last few years and it's always packed when we go anymore is the only downside. Nice, basic and electric sites. Riverfront sites also. Some group sites there also. Floating can be reserved at the campground store.

We’ve been floating here for 6 years now and we’ve only ever used the group sites 2 & 3. Each site is spacious and plenty of hammock trees and little corners for tents if you want a little privacy from the group. You also have a trail that leads down to a little private beach area on the river but this past year the campground was so full, people were camping right on the beach. Kinda yucked my yum, but hey, we all wanna be outside. The camp staff and river roadies were pleasant enough and had us set up before we even walked down to launch. We’ll definitely keep coming back every year.

Super easy to get my 28' trailer backed into site 52. Getting it level was manageable. The site is not paved and parked on grass. It rained everyday and the tires may have sunk in a little bit. There were several fresh water hydrants in the campground and two about 60 yards on either side of site 52. I used Echo State Park to dump when leaving. The non-potable water tower's elbow nozzle was removable to fit my own hose and flush the black tank.

We went during the week and the campground was less than a quarter full. We left on a Thursday and knew it was going to be full for the weekend. Only a couple of the 20 FF sites were being used by Thursday and something to remember for future trips.

The store sold firewood, can't remember how much for a bundle. The store also had wifi, but it was very slow. We used the picnic table on a slope to sort of sit and check emails and the weather or sat on the rock wall across the road at the bathrooms. Anywhere else did not get a connection. No TMobile service.

There is a very nice trail with the trailhead near the group sites. It goes through different terrains, including along the river bank. When looking back at the pictures we took during that section it looks so nice, but we hurried through it due to the mosquitoes. The trail section that went on higher ground didn't have mosquitoes, but used a stick to knock down webs. Lots of different flowers to view along the trail. There's a small section along the river that wasn't maintained well and I had to re-find the trail. Not a big deal, but hopefully the trail maintenance crew can fix it. The rest of the trail was very well maintained and easy to follow.

I used the very clean bathrooms towards the group sites, which I think I was the only person to use. The bathrooms near the entrance were clean too. I didn't use the showers, but they have them.

The river access behind site 52 is pretty cool with a short sandy trail to the bank. There were moments of no rain and I was able to setup a hammock on the bank. If it wasn't raining I would have gone every day.

We have been camping at Montauk since the mid 1960's. The campground isn't the best place since it floods so the sites can take a beating. The staff are friendly. Bring plenty of garden hose some sites have a 150' reach to a faucet. Summertime is always busy so reservations are a good idea. The lodge has good home cooked meals and they have a ice cream bar. You can get some camping supplies at the store and they have a full line of fishing supplies since Montauk is a put-n-take trout river.
