$10 - $100 / night
We were planning to stay a second night in a better location on the resevoir… so we moved to avoid the sound, fury and allergens of a half dozen lawn tractor mowers circling us. The management notified us that there would be a $20. Fee for changing spaces plus the fees for an additional night and were asked to return to our original site until check in time if we didn’t want to pay the additional 20 bucks.
We moved to the bathhouse, showered, hung out by the pool until check out time and departed for another campground. Sometimes management treats guests according to the rules of an HOA, versus the hospitality industry. It was kind of sad.
We did enjoy the site, the pool and the water views. We didn’t enjoy the sound of traffic and grounds maintenance early in the morning. We might return one day, but much wiser, indeed.
I recently stayed at Movietown RV Park and had an exceptional experience! The amenities were top-notch, and the park was clean and well-maintained. This was our first time camping using our popup. We set it up with ease and enjoyed a weekend vacation. It was my husband’s first time ever camping. We were both astonished with the vacation feel of camping. We had a great time and our fur babies have slept the past two days since we’ve been back. They played so hard and we hiked a lot! The only negative side was a street light righttttt above us, all in all we loved it and can’t wait to go back.
Had a night of rain and lightning when we stayed there !! Camped on the hill passed the boat launch nice to hear the flowing water when the thunder died down . I would like to stay again on a dry night .. packed up early and left between showers the next morning
We will definitely come back to this campground. When you come to the campground , nightly rentals are first come first serve. You drive back and pick your available spot and go back to the office to pay. We were lucky to get a beautiful water spot this time. It’s clean and spots are a concrete pad. Right outside the campground is a Kroger across the street. It’s convenient to lots of things but tucked away as a quiet getaway.
It’s a pity the place is so dirty, especially the bathhouse.
It’s a pity because the property itself is of stunning beauty…
There is lots to love; bbq pits, fire places, all kind of canoe activities, a river with fresh and nice water… it’s mush and green. Bring repellent!
Convenience of nearby restaurants & Kroger, but still nice quiet & peaceful location to unwind after my other activities in area. Great shade in sunnier weather and clean bathhouses
Loved camping here!
Miles of trails
All natural with great camp sites
Lots of trails that go for miles. Beautiful campground all natural and clean., Fishing, hiking, biking, swimming.
This campground was our “go to” for weekend getaways for years with our children. From tent camping to RV camping. Fishing, swimming, exploring, to deer petting. We loved this campground and almost positive you will too!!
PROS
No fee to make my own on-line reservation
Site 88 excellent view of lake
Pedestal BBQ grill
Wooden Picnic table top with concrete frame on a concrete slab
Nice space between MOST sites
Park easily accessible from I-20
3 bars T-MOBILE
CONS
No senior discount
Site 88 concrete parking pad all cracked and heaved made for difficult leveling
5ft wide campsite fire ring…biggest we’ve ever seen!
Numerous HOMESTEADERS throughout CCC campground. Made campground very “junky” looking with all their “stuff ” piled around in their campsite
Park roadway in very poor condition, potholes connected to potholes! Potholes keep speed at 10 mph or less
Able to hear Interstate 20 road noise
Train noise about every 3 hours
Toilet/shower facility heavily used. Finish peeling off of toilet seats. Women’s stall doors coming apart. No soap. Insufficient TP once the weekend crowds hit. Toilets were not cleaned Saturday
Handicap assessable toilet only in one of the CCC campground loops
Trash dumpsters are in next campground loop so 30 minute walk
No campfire wood for sale in park, but sold at EXXON right outside park entrance
No park WiFi
So much fun, so much to do! We stayed on the lakes edge, had visits from geese, ducks, rabbits and squirrels. Beautiful and very clean area. Pool, slides, jumping pad, playground, mini golf, tennis, basketball, planned activities each day for family fun.
Quiet, scenic and the few neighbors I had for the holiday weekend were friendly. Clean very modern bathhouse. Great accommodating friendly staff.
Totally awesome experience! Wish we could have stayed longer. Dumpsters were hard to come by though so taking the trash was a long walk. Also the washing machine was broken and took our $. Dryer worked so we washed by hand and just used the dryer for necessities. Besides those little things this has been the best campsite we’ve seen in a long time. Clean. Well kept. Nice space between sites. Good bath facilities Overall beautiful place.
Feels super remote but still close to shopping. Great lake views, plenty of tall trees. Nice bathrooms & showers have both locking stall doors and shower curtains.
The park is clean and well kept. The place started quite and was completely full . There are updates needs in the bathhouses. There is also no hand soap . Otherwise we’ll maintained. Nice lake! The place seems to be a favorite spot for the La. People. The beach needs to be reworked. We will come back soon .
Loved the campground sites are spread out nice shade wish I would of gotten a spot on the water but other than that I give it a 10 out of 10
Beautiful area. Nice spacious sites.
Nice campground. Clean place and friendly staff. This is a good stop to stay a night when needed. Not very private and just a camper lot without any nice views, picnic tables, etc. It worked for us as a quick overnight rest.
This is a really convenient location outside Jackson. It's clean and easy pull ins. The lake is nice if you have a boat but it can also be really windy.
We stayed at Lake Lincoln state park over the weekend. The sites are spaced well apart the sites are nice and level. Plenty of stuff for the kids to do.
We stopped quick passing through and it was nice an quiet. Seemed like they had a lot of water activities for summer time. We will definitely be back in the summer for a visit.
Our site was a very tight pull thru site. We definitely wouldn't of been able to pull out if the park was full. The site was very sloped so getting in the camper was difficult because the steps were so high off the ground.
Unfortunately we were unable to get in, a sheriff at the gate turned us around. Went to Chucky River Recreation which was wonderful and not far.
This campground looked wonderful on the surface. Parts of it is very well cared for & maintained, but a large area needs serious attention. Our site was in that area. The concrete pads were badly broken & uneven, garbage littered the whole area, one of the electric posts was broken, and the bathroom was one of the nastiest we've encountered in our 8 years of travel. Moldy; broken tiles, countertop, towel dispenser, & trim; caution tape over both shower stalls in the women's; and a healthy ant freeway running thru one of the stalls. This bathroom obviously has been in decay for several years.
This is our home camping spot. It’s close to the house but a great get away for the weekend!
Well our trip started out bad. We made to park and my truck quit. There were several campers that stopped what they were doing to help us. They helped us set up. Park was nice. Boating, fishing, hiking, the people, all very joyable. Sunday morning service was nice. Over all wonderful. Will be back in a few weeks for a longer stay.
I loved this place. The primitive area is far back and away from everything which I loved. Easy walk to a shower though. Ps you need a golf cart to rent a pass 😂 (I thought they provided them)
