    Lake Perry Campground

    Overnighter

Nice small campground. The shower was clean yet dated. Had multiple sites with the lake view. Many of the campsite have campers that are staying the maximum stay. So some of the premium site are occupied by them.

    Groomed park in the wilderness.

Beautiful park. Could use just a little more space. Lots of wildlife and amenities. Cabins, laundry, pavilions, pool, propane and store.

Picked this place at the last minute, so glad we did.

This was a great find in the middle of Mississippi on a trip from Hot Springs Village to the beach. Looked to be new and well-kept. Staff was efficient and helpful. Sites were arranged around a lake and level. We would stay here again.

    'Temporarily' Closed for 4 years!

This campground has been temporarily closed for 4 years and when I last spoke to the rangers office, there was no schedule for re-opening.

    Great campsite!

Arrived here today. By the time I got camp set up, the host stopped by welcomed me and said if there are issues to get with them. Very friendly!

    Best KOA we've visited

This was the nicest campground we stayed at on our 4 week trip.  Our level site was on a lovely pond, with a friendly duck. This is the first architecturally designed KOA facility I've seen in two years of camping in our RV. It looked new. It was nicely done. The pool is a good size, the communal kitchen area has barstools on two sides. They had two TVs and an inside/outside fireplace. The bathrooms have granite countertops, and very nice tile. I wish we'd brought our dog because they had a professional quality bathing/grooming room with a professional dog dryer. There are walking trails that look lovely. The woman who checked us in couldn't have been nicer, as was everyone we encountered at the campground. I wish we'd been able to stay longer and we hope to come back soon.

    Lake Perry Campground

    Older campground/lakeside camping

We just drove in hoping that there was a suitable site for a 30’ motorhome available. There were 3. The campground is more suitable for tents and small trailers. The cost for a site with electric was $15.00 for a senior. $22.00 normally. Joey, the attendant, was so helpful and very knowledgeable. There is a dump. Will come back.

    Small private campground

this is a small private campground. Sites were roomy and mgm't was very helpful. They have a nice 'laundry' room and can't beat $1.50/washer & $1.00 for dryer. A short drive to Hattiesburg.

    Animal Cruelty - Horrible experience

We were on a 12 hour haul coming from FL. I allotted for 30 min of traffic and 30 min to pick up a horse on our way. Neither of those things happened so we ended up being about an hour early. I texted the host when I was 3 hours out letting her know our new arrival time. She said she wasn't available and I'd have to wait. I said I can't wait, I've had horses on the trailer for 12 hours. She said I was not to unload and was to leave them standing on the trailer while I waited for her. I asked for simple instructions on where to put my animals. She refused. This is absolutely unacceptable and animal cruelty. I ended up having to desperately find another place to go for my horses while on the road. She refused to refund my money. I cannot say enough negative things about this place or the woman who runs it.

    Primative but free

Campgrounds are beautiful with line forests surrounding the sites. Utilities are primitive but expected for a free campground. Watch where you step! Lots of horse poop.

Great staff new RV park beautifully done.

We stayed here after picking up our new 5th wheel from Dad's Camper outlet. Not even a mile away. I hope this is allowed, Cat Trent and Ricky were great with getting our new 5th wheel ready for us. Check them out for any RV needs. The staff was very nice. The campground was very nice. It is only 4 months old. All the amenities you need and expect from a KOA. The only difference is that it's new and not run down. Pull through sites are level and concrete. As you can see from my pics, it was raining quite hard.

    Nice lake soso park

Ok so I just tent camped here this past weekend in June. When I got to my campsite there was still trash everywhere. Mainly charcoal coals dumped next to the picnic table loaded with cigarettes. There was no fire ring so you could basically start a fire anywhere which I thought was strange. My neighbors were fine but there are no rules on what people can do. Trucks with boat trails were all over the place and most halfway on the road. I was fine driving around but I couldn’t imagine pulling a trailer through it. No camp store so that was a bummer. The registration office was so old and smelly I didn’t want to be in there. Not that there was much to it. The bathrooms were ok. Not dirty but old and hot. What I did like was the night sky. I saw lots of stars. Riding my bike around. Lots of roads for cruising. If you have a boat air Jets skis you would like this better. It just wasn’t for me.

    Last Minute stop!

We were driving our van to the beach with our 5 kids, by 11pm we decided to stop for the night. A very kind human answered when we called, even last minute. Booked us over the phone. The park is so organized and clean! Beautiful. Everyone was able to take showers and we did our dishes at our site. I’m so so thankful we came across this on the Dyrt app!

    Wonderfully kept campground

Very friendly and helpful staff. Park is very well maintained. The park is very much off the beaten path so it is quiet and peaceful. There is a lot to do within the park– swimming, fishing(no license required), basketball, a playground for children, a dog park, a dog wash station. They just finished building a beautiful out door area with a kitchen, tables/chairs, game area, bathrooms and etc. Need to fill in the potholes in the drive. Need the gravel pad to be larger so you do not need step out into mud.

Everything you didn’t know you wanted

I HIGHLY recommend Camp David. Top tier RV park on the Gulf Coast. I’ve visited many parks and every time I visit Camp David it seems to get better and better. Right on the water and within a minute access to the interstate. 10 minutes from the beach that stretches 26 MILES! A bunch of restaurants only a couple miles up the road. The management is attentive and accommodating if you need anything. Grounds are always clean and well kept. Perfect place to stay for a peaceful atmosphere with piers for fishing. Boat docks across the street. Kayaks available to use for the day. Beautiful view to wake up to. Well lit(but not too bright) at night for safety. I love staying here. Do yourself a favor and skip looking around at other RV parks in the area because everything you need is here. Camp David= bar none! PLUS a bar and grill is in progress in the camp clubhouse. I saw a sneak peak….it’s going to be so beautiful❤️ Jet ski rentals also coming soon! Can’t wait to visit again!!!! Top 3 parks I’ve visited within all the states I’ve been visited in the country. Other parks on the coast don’t even compare!-The Traveling Gypsy✌️🪬

    Little Black Creek Waterpark

    Disc Golf Destination

This park is just a little off the beaten path in Lumberton Mississippi. Located about 20 minutes off of interstate 59 and situated on a great fishing lake. The park boasts 2 championship level Disc Golf courses and hosts Big Rip Classic Disc golf Tournament each October. Great fishing, kayaking, swimming, and hiking. Well shaded campsites with plenty of bath houses.

Beautiful, peaceful lake. We were only there for one night passing thru. Only saw people fishing on the lake so I don’t know if they allow any other water activities. We never used the (or even saw) the bathhouse so I can’t report on that. This is an older park. It could use a little TLC but over all you can tell it’s pretty well kept as far as maintenance goes. Grass is maintained and everything looks very neat and cared for. We had a beautiful lakefront spot and look forward to coming back for a longer visit.

    Beautiful setting on the lake.

Some sites are level & others not so much but not bad. Some areas of the park have recently been upgraded while others are def’ly do for renovation. Ask before reserving if this matters to you.

    Magnolia Sands RV Park

    Magnolia Sands RV Park, Mississippi

What a great little RV park Magnolia Sands is!! Bridgett and Gary offer a rural setting in southeast Mississippi. 5 miles from Wiggins, Ms. Park has 20 sites with full hook-ups. $24 for 30 amp and $26 per night for 50 amp. Beautiful park amongst the trees with its own pond. Concrete pads are large enough to handle most “big rigs”. Open year round and monthly rates are available. The park is 40 miles north of Gulf Port and Biloxi so finding some Gulf beaches is easy. On site is a laundry, game room, meeting room and bathrooms with showers. Basketball and volleyball areas provide recreational entertainment. A strong WiFi network is available. The nearby town of Wiggins has everything you’ll need! Restaurants, grocery stores and fuel.

If you are looking for a quite, peaceful, no frills spot to stay… I highly recommend Magnolia Sands RV Park! We have already booked our stay to return in March.
