Oaklawn RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Oaklawn RV Park sits about half a mile from I-10 in Biloxi, Mississippi, operating as a combined RV park and mobile home community. Drive-in access is straightforward from the highway, though reviewers flag rough road conditions on approach. Full hookups include electric, water, and sewer, and the park accepts rigs up to 60 feet. Nightly rates run $30 to $35, with reservations handled through Campspot.

Sites are the most consistent point of friction across reviews. Spaces run narrow and close together, with some reported to be uneven by several inches. Campers with awnings should take note: at least one reviewer found their awning made contact with a neighboring rig. A handful of pull-through sites are available, which tend to work better for overnight travelers passing through. Water pressure has come up as low in multiple reviews, and WiFi reliability has been inconsistent, with some guests getting usable LTE speeds while others found the park's WiFi insufficient. Cell coverage varies by carrier. Nearby Peaceful Pines RV Park & Campground and Mazalea Travel Park are close alternatives worth comparing before booking.

The location does have practical advantages. A Camping World, tire center, and emergency vet are all adjacent, which adds real utility for RV travelers on longer routes. Biloxi's main attractions are roughly ten minutes away. Dog walking space on-site is limited, with most reviewers defaulting to the grass near the office. "Very clean shower and restroom," notes Kristina Suzzanne M., though a more recent guest reported no bathroom access after finding their reserved site already occupied. Book ahead and confirm arrival logistics directly with the park to avoid check-in gaps.

Wouldn't even give it 1 stars

Will take your money and not answer your calls all day long. Someone was in our site we reserved, and not a soul on site to help give us a bathroom code. So no access to toilets or showers.

Good for a layover

The good: location was great, right off the highway and next to a Camping World, Tire center, and emergency vet. Wi-Fi worked well, park felt safe, and we were only 10 minutes from major attractions in the area. The bad: water pressure was horrible. Sites were tight and overlapping, a little uneven, and about 4 inches unlevel. This is definitely a long term campground connected to a mobile home park.

There are a few open pull throughs for transient travelers and I would recommend them as an overnight stay based on location only.

Good place to crash for a night or 2

Campers too close together, more than normal noise activities from the interstate being close. 3 stars for the staff being friendly, wifi, and service Wouldn’t come again due to how close the lots are.

Good spot for an overnight

Good spot for an overnight stop. Booking was easy, great pricing, all information was emailed in advance of arrival. Spaces are narrow but gravel was recently added. Leveling was easy, electric and water hook ups are in a good location. Decent LTE speed on my phone but my Verizon LTE router was slow. Not a great place for walking the dogs. Ended up using the grass area in front of the office. Overall a good spot for a quick stop off I-10.

Maybe not...

We stayed one night at Oaklawn. Everything is done by Campspot, so no park map, no written receipt, not even a walk into the park office or much of a greeting. The site # is on your Campspot email and you're just supposed to find it a park yourself. I have no idea where the laundry/ dumpster/ bathrooms were supposed to be. Mostly long-timers here. Going somewhere else next time.

A quiet place

The lady that works the front desk is a treasure! She's the main reason I'm giving 3 stars. The spots are very close to one another, but they are limestone spots at least. The internet is virtually non-existent, which is an issue because they list it in the park description. If you need a no frills place to stay this is it. It's conviently located a half mile from I-10. It is also part of, and right next to a mobile home park, which will turn some people off. I didn't mind the place so much as just a place to stay for a bit. It was quiet and everyone kept to themselves. Great laundry services there with locks. No amenities like a pool or games for kids, but if you stay just for the night it's fine. Don't expect a resort because that's not what this is.

Do NOT stay here!

Would not stay here again! Each site is extremely small/tight. When we put out our awning, it literally hit the RV that was next to us. Then when we tried to sign into the WiFi password they sent to us in the confirmation Email, it didn’t work! Not a good experience!
