The Home Depot — St Louis Park

This overnight parking spot sits in a Home Depot parking lot in Saint Louis Park, with access confirmed by management for multi-night stays. The location offers big rig accessibility and cell service coverage. One camper found relief from bright Costco parking lot lighting by positioning near a large pine tree that blocks some illumination.

The reviewer discovered a darker section between the Home Depot and Costco buildings where parking lot lights appear turned off, creating a quieter overnight environment. For travelers needing additional camping near St. Louis Park, the adjacent Costco — Saint Louis Park provides another option. Contact management by phone before settling in for the night.

Gets the job done

I started out at the Costco parking lot next door and the lights were bugging me. So, I moved over to the Home Depot (literally only moved over about a row or 2 because I was already on the edge of the Costco parking lot closest to Home Depot) because there was a large pine tree blocking some light. I parked near some machinery too. Overall, not a terrible night of sleep, but not a great one! Worked in a pinch though since I was passing through and needed a pit stop; I did manage to get a manager on the phone and they gave me the okay to stay overnight a couple of nights and there are no signs in the parking lot saying no overnight stays.

There was a section of parking lot farther back between the two buildings (like actually right between the Home Depot and Costco buildings; the section in the last photo) that looked like it might have had the parking lot lights turned off and there are no other stores back there so I don't think there would be a lot of people driving by or additional lights.
