Lake views!

The site was lovely! I stayed at #48 and it was nice and level. The only bummer was that the camp office was closed when I arrived at 5pm so I couldn’t buy firewood.

The lakeside trail was very pretty!

A low-key, easy weekend

We went on the hottest weekend of the year, so the swimming beach came in handy. The walk-in sites are nice and off-the-beaten path. Hiking is a bit underwhelming, but overall a nice easy trip from the twin cities

Lovely weekend

Very quiet campground. I think most of the sites were permanently parked. We were the only ones with a fire I think. We caught a few little fish in the lake. Paddle boats and kayaks for use. Well maintained. Easy in and easy out.

Quiet serenity

Just got back from a lovely labor day weekend at Scenic State Park. We stayed in the Chase Point campground. Nice and spacious camping plots with a fair amount of trees between neighbors. Still can see neighbors clearly. Super cute trail close to our site, lots of nice wildflowers and scenery.…

Schoolcraft St. Park - So quiet and sparsly occupied

We went here instead of the North Shore of Lake Superior because of the forest fires there. It was a good find. Mid week there were only 2 other sets of campers. Quiet!

There is a nice trail system with signage about history and nature. They have a boat loading area and dock. There is a…

Very Nice

Pull through and back in sights. Well spaced. Water, electric, and sewer. Only a couple sites left when we arrived. Level well packed stone sites. It’s next to Duluth and looks like a city park. Many permanent residents. Very clean and comfortable. I’d stay again if I’m in the area. Now we’re…

AtV, Hike, RV

Quiet little place, far enough away from too many things to make you feel like you're in town but anything you need is a hop skip and jump away. Paved walking and biking trails and hundreds of miles of ATV trails connected right to the rv park. Would recommend

Right on the Mississippi

Small campground, large sites with electric, tables and fire grills. Nice restrooms!

We used our Senior National Park pass for 1/2 of $26. Sweet deal!!

You can walk over the dam to a short walking path along the river.

Lots of choices to eat, drink and be merry in Grand Rapids!

Lovely and quiet

The campsite is lovely and there are some relatively flat spots for a tent.

The site was easy to find, and parking was also easy.

It was very quiet, although a neighborhood dog did stop by to visit.

A short trail through the woods leads to beautiful views of the bog.

Lovely staff and nice grounds

I got a tent site (E5) for a one night stay. The check in process was quick and seamless and the site was nice. I was sleeping on a bit of an incline, and there wasn’t a truly flat spot, but I made due. There was one tent in the spot next to me, but was far enough away to not be noisy.

Very peaceful

Stopped here on the way back. Not crowded on a weekend and really only the water sites were busy. Good fishing in the lake. Like all good forests it’s primitive and non reservable. Wouldn’t worry about getting a site tho. We stayed in 7 and had nobody around us. Great place to come to get away from…
