Quiet Place

We camped here mid-week and the place was not full so it was quiet and sites have trees and shrubs for some privacy. We saw a Baltimore Oriole which is something we don't see often in Northern MN.

Large campground with wooded sites

We stayed here one night in a nice wooded site not far from the beaches of Mille Lacs Lake. Nice trails too. Big picnic and beach area with a roofed picnic spot. We did not use any of the park restrooms as we have a self-contained RV. Lovely views of the really big lake!

Quick getaway

Great campground for an RV park. The sites are decent sized, with a few scattered trees. Nice amenities and facilities. It’s a great place to come if you want to have a last-minute camping weekend.

Best for tents, mountain bikers, dogs

This is an excellent campground for tent (or van/truck) sites and mountain biking. Sites are gorgeous and secluded, a bike trail heads off from camp, there's showers, a sauna, and a lake. Wonderful vibe, not an RV park (although there are 3 or 4 RV sites), more similar to a national forest…

In town location

I prefer being in the woods, but this is great for last minute booking.
Pros. Full hookups. On park, next to playground and beach. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, And easily bike to the Cuyuna Mountain Bike Trails.

Cons. Road noise and low privacy.

Nice sites with electric, showers, bathroom. Near town. On the Mississippi River. Self service with self registration.

Decent sites; plenty to do

This park has a ton of camping available, particularly if you don't need electricity and have a smaller rig because then you can get into more of the campground loops. (There is electricity here, but there are many more sites without.)

The sites in the Old Logging Campground were close…

  • Site 217 - tight back in but long enough for a larger rig
  • Site 207 - tucked in but best for a smaller rig
  • Site 207 had decent privacy

Clean shower facilities/no privacy

We stopped for one night on our way to a teardrop camper rally. Feels more like a city/county park. No foliage between the many, many sites. Lots of big RVs and boats crowded in a small space. And us ...

Central location

Close to grocery store and parks. We hit Robinson Park and Bannon State Park. I was apprehensive after I found out that this was a big ATV campground. But was pleasantly surprised that everyone was very respectful and it was very quiet.

Quiet & Safe

Woodsong is a beautiful, gated RV campground. It’s has an amazing patio pool and raised hot tub. The basketball court, checkers/chess court, and playground are pleasing and fun for the grandchildren. They strictly enforce the rules on noise and speed. We like that! Our grandkids are safe and…

Lake Activities Galore

This site is great for solo or family trips because there is a lot to do: swim, playground, boating, fishing, walking. The site and restroom/shower were well kept. During the night there were some raccoons rustling around and this caused multiple campers to come over, but nobody was concerned for…

Great Area

Smaller sites and a little privacy in the lake campground. The ones next to the waters edge have a nice view and are more completely in the shade. The inner sites have more sun. The beach is long and rocky but ample enough to swim in. It is a busy place because of its location close to the cities…

Excellent stay if you’re visiting Big Sandy or Minnewawa area - or if you love golf

This is a relatively new (2016?) campground built right next to the Minnesota National Golf Course clubhouse, and in the corner surrounded by Savannah holes 8 and 9. It’s literally inside the golf course.

Gravel pads, some a bit out of level. All 50 amp water and sewer. Some great options in here…

Great location

Nice campground...a little rural but close to town. Helpful staff, decent size sites and hookups. Pool area was nice but busy on our stay. Great family camping. Kwik Trip down the road has everything you forgot to bring but there's a full grocery just a few miles from the campground...small but…
