Quaint campground

The campground is right off 169 in the town of St. Peter. There are zero signs on the main road for the camp ground and signage once off the main road is terrible as well.

We had good luck with the GPS directing it toward levee park. Once in the park you can find your way.

Sights are back in with electric. Very basic but it’s perfect for the over night stay. We are hear after Labor Day on a Friday and there are plenty of open spots. The place is about 15 spots large and is at about 50% capacity.

Overall it’s well lite and feels very safe! Would recommend for a night.

Safe

This is actually behind the police station so at least I felt safe. No water hookups, electric only. Park and kids fishing pond there. In town so most everything you need is in walking distance

Small campground/ park

I had never been camping, so for our very first camping trip we went here. It’s only a few miles from our home but was a great place for us to get the family into camping. The place is very small, I believe there’s only 5-6? Tent spots but they are big. We fit a 10x20 tent plus 2 smaller tents on our site. They do have a few RV sites also. This park is by the river that allows fishing and it does have a volleyball area and a basketball court, full bathrooms and a nice pond. We were the only campers that night so it was quiet. However, this is located directly behind the police station (aka park office) so we kept getting routine drive-ups by the cops.?? I have since been to a few other campgrounds so I have something to compare it to. It’s a good one if you need seclusion and quiet. I have a family with kids and we need more than this park offers to keep the kids interested in camping. Hope this is helpful.

First time here

It was a last minute idea to go and we were looking for something near Mankato. This was the closest we had found that had an open site! We were really glad we picked to go here! The sights where a little difficult to get into being we have a 42ft fifth wheel but when we did find the sight we could fit in it was level. The dump sight could use some work and there is no water hook up but we had a great time!
