Description
This is a backpack site. Only accessible by hiking the Glacial Ridge Trail. Parking area just inside the main entrance.
The Glacial Ridge campsite is located adjacent to a large beaver pond on a wooded ridge known as the Mille Lacs Moraine.
The new backpack sites are available for use now on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved in advance for arrival dates from April 28 through Oct. 31.
The sites are open year round. The distance to the sites from the nearest parking lots ranges from one-half to 1-3/4 mile. All sites have picnic tables, fire rings and wilderness toilets.
