White Pine Canoe Camp

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Boat-in access defines the experience at White Pine Canoe Camp, where paddlers reach this Huron National Forest site by water rather than road. The campground provides vault toilets and picnic tables, though campers should plan accordingly since the water pump was reported out of service during recent visits. Dead wood for campfires can be limited, making it wise to bring pre-cut firewood along with sufficient water and prepared meals.

Located within the forest system, the camp serves paddlers on multi-day river trips who need an overnight stop. Cell service reaches the area for those requiring connectivity. For land-based camping options, White Pine Canoe SF Campground sits nearby for campers preferring vehicle access.

A solid canoe only campsite

We stayed at White Pine Canoe Camp for the 1st night of a 3 day kayaking trip. The site had 2 vault toilets. The water pump was out of commission and there was very limited access to dry wood or dead trees, but fortunately we brought enough water and pre-made foods.
