Located in Gogebic County 8 miles southeast of the town of Marenisco, Mi., on the Bessemer Ranger District in the southern half of the Ottawa National Forest. The campground consists of one camping loop with 17 campsites. All sites are spaced with natural vegetation for screening. This campground provides drive-in sites that can accommodate tents, trailers and motor homes. Each site offers an accessible wood table, fire ring and parking spur. Four vault toilet facilities are located in the camping loop, while water is provided at one centrally located hand pump. Adjacent to the campground is a boat landing to provide you access to a variety of game fish.
Cute little lake, mostly used for fishing. Part of a huge forest/park network in the area so more to do nearby. Some sites are really private due to undergrowth and generous site sizes. Nice primitive with just toilets and central water supply. Not many sites so get there early. This is not near French Canada despite the name, so don’t look for poutine.
The first time i came here I didn't get a site. This site is a first come first serve site. I ended up staying at a motel and came early the next morning. There was already a line. There is more than 30 sites and it will be all gone. It about 16 dollars and has a fire ring and picnic table
