Ottawa National Forest

Cute little lake, mostly used for fishing. Part of a huge forest/park network in the area so more to do nearby. Some sites are really private due to undergrowth and generous site sizes. Nice primitive with just toilets and central water supply. Not many sites so get there early. This is not near French Canada despite the name, so don’t look for poutine.

Pomeroy Lake

The first time i came here I didn't get a site. This site is a first come first serve site. I ended up staying at a motel and came early the next morning. There was already a line. There is more than 30 sites and it will be all gone. It about 16 dollars and has a fire ring and picnic table
