Five miles of gravel road wind through multiple lakes before reaching Henry Lake Campground in Ottawa National Forest. The US Forest Service manages this single-loop campground that stays open year-round, though the final stretch of road gets bumpier as campers approach the sites.
The loop contains a variety of shaded sites that reviewers describe as nice and secluded. Midweek visits often find the campground empty, though weekend patterns may differ. Campers have access to drinking water, toilets, and trash service, with big rigs able to navigate the setup. The campground prohibits pets and focuses primarily on fishing and relaxing in camp. For those exploring the broader region, sites outside Marenisco provide additional options within the national forest system.
