Four miles south of Plymouth center, Indianhead Resort occupies a forested setting that accommodates RVs up to 45 feet alongside tent sites. The private campground operates from mid-April through Columbus Day, charging $35-75 per night depending on site type and season.
Sites include full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections, though some reviewers note electrical installations vary by area. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table, and the wooded terrain provides natural separation between many camping spots. Franklin, a repeat visitor, notes the "lots of trees does make it a little difficult to back in a camper but is doable." The campground maintains walking trails and includes a pond suitable for kayaking and light boating.
Bathroom facilities receive mixed feedback from campers, with several reviews mentioning maintenance concerns. However, the grounds themselves stay relatively clean according to multiple visitors. On-site recreation includes volleyball and basketball courts, plus beach access for water activities. "Birds everywhere and children laughing," describes Tara N. about the campground's daytime atmosphere.
The location serves as a base for exploring Plymouth's historic attractions and provides access to both Cape Cod and Boston. Campers seeking camping near Sagamore Beach will find this wooded retreat suits those who prioritize proximity to regional destinations over premium amenities.
