Peace, safety, security and hospitality and excellent customer service.
Owners were very nice place was very clean. We wish we would have had more blocks so we could have leveled our camper a bit more, but that was our first time camping in this trailer
From my limited camping experience, this is a great site! There are 5 sites that are first come, first serve across from a day use area. A short drive away from DC and it couldn't be easier to get to: park in a lot and walk about 500ft down to the campgrounds.
About 4 sites are in use during my…

Had a great stay overnight on our way north from Virginia.
Had a great weekend trip here, close to DC and Delaware. Wonderful hiking trails with river views. Only caveat- got pretty muddy since it rained the day before and our site didn’t have a tent pad. Firewood and minimal supplies available at the check in.
It’s a small walk to the tent only sites right off the C & O Canal which is heavily used by bikes and walkers. It sets down from the canal trail while the portapotty is right on the trail. The sites have breathing room and it’s on the Potomac River but it feels really odd to camp with so much…
My husband and I have stayed at Elk Neck twice. It’s a great campground with lots of different loops to choose sites from. The bath houses are very clean, and the folks responsible for their upkeep are great. There are sinks for washing dishes outside the bathhouses, making cooking cleanup very…
We stayed for a week at Cherry Hill. It’s clean, quiet (unless you back up to 95 then you can hear traffic at tonight). Easy access to the metro to visit DC. Beautiful hiking in the area.
We tent camped there two years ago, at one of their premium sights ( totally worth the extra $) I grew up camping and had never been at a campground that was this clean. I mean the bathrooms were pristine at all times. ( I actually felt bad when a moth flew in with me the one night because there…
Quiet and clean always been this way since 1980 for us. Larger sites and quiet areas near the beach,
Lots of activities available. We were in a secluded spot. Wifi and cable were poor on the weekend. Large campground with some good trails.
Will definitely return!
I stayed here for two nights with a friend, and it was serene and beautiful. There were nice, easy hikes in or near the campsite, and the location about halfway between Philadelphia and Washington, DC, was perfect.
We took out 1st trip to Tuckahoe over the 4th of July weekend. We really liked the park, but beware, the sites can be small! I watched people with 25+ footers struggle to back into the sites. We booked site 21, blind. The web site does not say site 21 is extremely small. We have a 25' camper, and…
As you can tell by the title I’ve been coming to Mary Meadows for a very long time as a child I came with my grandparents they had a full-time spot in the chipmunk area. I recently spent three days over the Fourth of July holiday. This campground has lots to offer they have upgraded any of the…
Pros: fairly decent wi-if, pool, hiking trails, close to DC, Annapolis and Baltimore Cons: terribly uneven gravel site, not a lot of shade, guest fee of $5/person+$5 per car (we are visiting where we grew up so lots of friends here—didn’t have one guest come because of the fee)
