Made a hellish trip bareable

I was coming down to New Orleans to look at some property and this park was convenient. On the way down, both of my front tires blew and I had to replace them out of pocket leaving me pretty strapped for cash.

I have never felt so welcomed anywhere. Melissa was so kind and helpful. When my AC went 3 days into my trip, she reminded me there was a lounge (that is rarely used) where I could work and that my dogs were welcome to chill in there with me.

She even made sure that I had enough water.

The restrooms are clean and private.

There is even a little dog run for the pups.

I will never stay anywhere else if I am in the city. (Well until the Orange Dragonfly Center is opened but we can talk about that later)

Pros:

Super convenient to the French Quarter or anywhere else in the city.

Melissa is amazing!

Dog Run

Lounge

Private shower

Cons:

The neighborhood isn't the greatest

I did get attacked by fire ants (which were taken care of as soon as it happened)

Safehaven in an area with Lots going on!

I loved this place. Nice, clean, safe, lovely office manager, laundry station, shade, picknick tables and a cute rooster :-) Oh and let’s not forget the Jummie figs, we were allowed to pick and the limes!

Small and intimate

This is just off 90 and is as mall family run campground. The sites are back in and there are full hookups. Very close to New Orleans.

Very close to New Orleans, are not so good

If you're just stopping by for a night in New Orleans this is the camp ground to go with! Very affordable, paid $30 for full hookup, compared to other RV sites near the city were about triple the price. You can Uber into the french quarter for about $12 and takes 15 minutes. However it's not a very safe neighborhood and you can tell by the very loud noises at night (trains, cars spinning etc), so if you're a light sleeper, you might have a hard time.

Convenient location and basic amenities

About 30 back in gravel slots, the neighborhood is not very scenic but it’s a good location right off I-10 and 15 minutes to the French Quarter. I’m a single female traveler and I did not feel unsafe. It has showers, laundry (though a few machines don’t work), a coded gate that closes at 8pm, and a nifty human size chess set. The prices seem to change by season and during events so call in. It is by a train depot, so there is considerable noise. There’s a snow ball stand going south on Chef Hwy on the right that is worth the excursion though I promise 😂

It's all about the location.

This park is essentially a gravel lot with full RV hookups. That said, you're paying roughly $30 a night to be about ten minutes by car from the French Quarter. It's a $8 Uber ride in non peak times, and for that nightly rate you really can't beat it. Park owners are lovely, kind people and they allow, if not encourage, bringing pets!
