Dirt, grass rv spits, not level, was there yesterday so know the road in has been improved . Not huge . Right on the water. Boat launch, tiny (2)showers and s8nk, toilets in little building on hill, small store limited items, porta potties. Not much but park, boat, fish. Lots of full time house boats here, ( not lived on) for what u get I think it's over priced but doable
Spur of moment trip to just get away. Fwel lucky to find. Nice, clean, friendly, concrete backin spaces, big, shady, quite, wildlife roaming, friendly staff, no sewage but dump station, showers dated but hot water and clean. Swimming, gated, need pass, boating, playground. Close to historic , I'm in love with that part of the town , Jefferson Texas.
Gonna make a post regarding a Jefferson 5x boondocking parking lot with or without hookups, free over night, or $12 hookup to electric.
Don't know why everyone complains so much. Yes its a parking lot across street from police station. Laid back town, step back in time. Obviously they only see parking lot but this area is awesome. Just spent whole day hunting bigfoot, eating ice cream from old timey parlor, many, things to do and see in walking distance.
Back to this camp ground. It's surounded by beautiful Lake of the pines.
Would and will definately be baci real soon.
Has been several years but it was home for a little while. Became a widow in 2013. Lived here in travel trailor till I figured out what was next. Stsff wss awesome, polite and helpful. Neighbors, some full time, some passing threw were always pleasant. Game room, laundry, pool, servailance, no b.s. allowed. A safe, quite, clean place to stay .
