Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Ferriday, LA

We enjoyed this campground so much.  Helpful staff, clean campground and beautiful scenery on the Mississippi River looking over to Natchez, MS.

They have a dog park, fenced in area, to let them run and play.

This is the second time I have camped here and both times have been great! The park is on the banks of the Mississippi River just south of the bridge on the Vidalia. LA side. Great walking, biking, running path that you can follow under the bridge. Dog Park, playground for the kids, and pool. The staff always seem pleasant and there are plenty of squirrels, which my French Bulldog loves to chase. He’s a squirrel dog in his own mind! 🤣

Nice wide roads in the park so easy to access your site. Pool area is very nice. There are tables, chairs, rocking chairs and recliners for your use. There is a large shaded area if you don’t want to sit in the sun. The lawns throughout the park are very well maintained. Very level sites with shade. A very nice enclosed dog park along with many paths to walk your dog. Utilities all work well. Like most campgrounds, there are lots of cigarette butts on the ground and dog poop. I don’t understand why people can not pick up after themselves! WIFI is spotty along with the over air channels. There were many dead large limbs in the trees above our site. We had a bad rain storm and many fell onto our roof. Luckily, we had no damage.

This is a very nice RV Park. It’s big. Almost 150 sites, with water, sewer and 30/50 amp electric. There are also a few tent sites with electricity. It’s well kept-grass is mowed, grounds and facilities are clean. There is a playground, a dog park, pool and hot tub. Showers and bathrooms are nice. Laundry room, small grocery/gift shop. And a guest lounge. There is a paved walking trail along the river. There is also a public boat ramp about 1/4 mile away for access to the Mississippi. Internet was sport. With this many Class A motorhomes and people streaming media the server can’t keep up.

Ms. Brenda is the best! This campground has all the amenities! Hot water is tricky but the coffee pot makes up for it. There’s a microwave as well. Most of all the sites are separated by the ravines. We hiked down to the creek from the site and also went on trail C at tunica. I wouldn’t recommend trail c if you have small kids unless you wear them in a pack. Brenda has wood you can purchase if you forgot or run out. We were right next to the bathroom, sink, and shower.

We stayed in the upper campground and really liked it! Nice museum on site and the park people are dog friendly! Quiet with full hook ups. Limited Wi-Fi, good tv reception

Mostly pull through full hookup sites. Nice grass inbetween sites, lots of shade trees, but not all spots shady, concrete pads (not sure if all are but most), gravel on roads, trash pickup at site, lots of grassy areas for walking dogs, some tent sites. Very attentive and friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again, had spot 111 at the end with a great view of the mighty Mississippi River. Accepts Good Sam discount.

We recently stayed at this RV park and were severely disappointed.

The good: Close to everything. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of area. Level sites. Reasonable price.

The bad: Nasty bathrooms with no soap or paper ( this is our experience) Super small showers that need updating. A neighborhood dog that decided to bark literally for 5 minutes every 10-15 min from sunset until sunrise.

I would probably not stay here again. I think the management needs to take a little time to upkeep and update the bathrooms/showers.

One of the most beautiful camp sites in LA. The geography here is not like anywhere else I have seen in Louisiana very nice and the owner is super accommodating.

Spent the weekend camping at one of the improved sites with water on site. Site had picnic table, fire pit, and plenty of room for tents and your camp set-up. Our site had a great view of the creek and was a little more tucked away but right by the bathrooms. Trails are throughout the area, couple of fishing spots, lots of picnic areas with grills and a playground. The place was not very crowded and the US Forest Service ranger (Virginia) was very kind and helpful. We hiked some of Richardson Creek Trail, but decided to turn around because it was overgrown at points and we found ticks on our dog. Otherwise, it was a beautiful walk through the woods. Several large banana spiders set up along the way so keep an eye out! Also, the county is supposed to be under a fire burn until the end of October.

This campground is in a Louisiana Wildlife Management Area in Tunica Hills. Did not get to spend a night but spent an hour checking out this site. Basically an open field. There are porta-potties on site and a deer cleaning rack for hunting season. No dedicated spots, just basically pop your tent anywhere you can find a spot, however seems to be a fair amount of spots. Primitive only.

Clean, family owned and operated fishing oriented lodge. RV sites behind the lodge, some semi permanent units there.

The lodge itself has several motel suite type accommodations plus a larger main lodge that can sleep in excess of 10 people. We attended a family reunion there and it was great.

If you like to fish from a dock, boat, canoe or kayak, and are looking for an overnight getaway, this is worth a try.

We stayed here for a week starting may 1st of 2022. Sites are large, had no problem with our 36 ft fifth wheel. easy access to Natchez to visit. campground was well maintained. We would definitely come back.

Clean and friendly. Looks to be off season in Sept and was quiet. Would highly recommend. Rates were very reasonable this time of year

Just stayed one night while visiting Natchez. The staff was extremely friendly and the park was very clean with great views of the river. Excellent spot to explore Natchez from.

We had a great time. It’s very clean and right on the river. There is a great breeze thru out the campground.

Everything is here we need or 5 minutes away. Wifi, hot showers very clean, coin laundry, full hook up, very clean park. Really nice staff. A beautiful walk path along the river it's all here at the park. Then 5 minutes drive is Walmart, gas, pizza, dollar tree. An awesome place to stay the night, a week or month. We Love it here. We are so happy they allow Vans.

Look at the location,it's clean and well maintained. Great staff and offer many different discounts including Military.

This campground has gracious, hospitable staff. They have a nice camp store and a sitting area with coffee. The spots are laid out with a concrete pad and the grassy space of another camper size spot for a “yard”. During special events such as the balloon races, these grassy yards are filled with campers also and the spaces are much tighter. Almost all of the slots are pull throughs.

This is an awesome place to relax and enjoy!

Lovely campground, large lots, friendly & helpful staff & campers, clean restrooms & showers. There are some nice, private spaces, but staff weren’t placing anyone in them due to storm & tornado warnings! Kept everyone close to the office & restrooms (aka storm shelter). Great walking path by the river. A little less rustic than I like, but right across from Natchez, MS which was my touristy destination
