    Mississinewa Lake Campground

    Good campgrounds for boating!

If you want woodsy, private sites, don’t come here. Most are grassy and sunny. There are many areas where the sites back up close to each other. 2 rows of full hookup. Plenty of 50 amp and many good tent sites. Beach in the park but not walking distance. Great mooring area for campers. Don’t try to pull-thru in any sites that are back-in. DNR will come around repeatedly and ask you to turn around...after you are already set up. Disc golf, trails, store near the beach, cabin rentals.

Short hike to the lake. Great beach area and shower facilities. Pet friendly, horse trails, camp store. Liberty is a short drive and has all essentials plus J’s Dairy Inn 🤤

    Mississinewa Lake Campground

    Short but fun stay

Campsites have a gravel parking pad, picnic table, fire-ring, electrical hookups, and thick health grass which is awesome if you're staying in a tent! The have public wifi that isn't really working that often. There was a truck delivering firewood making rounds through the campground which was very convenient. Stuff to do - disc golf, beach, beach volleyball, hiking & biking trails, boating/fishing. Unfortunately we didn't get to stay here for long, so we're planning on coming back soon.

Natural Springs Resort - RV Park, Campground and Recreation Destination

    Lots to offer-tight sites

Full service campground. 30, 50 am full hook ups. Water and electric only hook ups, primitive RV and tent sites. Some sites are shaded, most of them seem to be year round rented. Most sites not shaded and small. Lake with beach, fishing, boating, and scuba diving. Golf cart rentals, firewood for sale on site. Pool available. Camp store and hot food available on site. Cabins also available for rent. Within 25 min of Walmart, hole improvement stores, and restaurants. Overall nice campground with lots to offer. But in most cases there is parking lot style camping.

    Lake Loramie State Park Campground

Perfect retreat for the family or solo adventure

Relax on the waters edge in shear tranquility. Perfect beach for swimming, excellent trails for hiking, and awesome lake to boat. Multiple launch ramps provide ease and convenience. Rent a canoe or kayak and head out for some time alone or with your favorite person. The cabins are heated but pets are not allowed. Campground is huge as are the sites. Some are premium, there’s a few ADA and some lakeside making for a great view to enjoy your morning coffee.

Natural Springs Resort - RV Park, Campground and Recreation Destination

Glad we checked it out, but don't feel the desire to come back.

Advertises heated pool and splash pad, but pool was not heated and colder than lake(major bummer- as this was a major draw for us) and splash pad is still under construction- not new and ready for 2021. Lake is nice and clear, pretty cold(would love to feel it in August or September). Fun to jump into and overall pretty. Wibit should be included or at least offer 1/2 hour slots. Everyone is very nice, close to cute coffee shop and stores in Richmond. Park is in need of updates, just feels used- but can tell that is in process. No COVID restrictions other than"stay distanced" sign, but our adults were vaccinated and we just tried to keep our kids distanced. Good WiFi, everything fairly clean, nice little store w/ inexpensive ice cream. No"bar& grill" as advertised. Newer playground structure, but for younger kids- no swings.

Guide to Selma

Cabin accommodations near Selma, Indiana provide access to nearby recreational areas and waterways. Most rental cabins include basic furnishings with varying levels of amenities depending on the property. Winter cabin rentals remain available at several locations, though fewer campgrounds operate during colder months when temperatures can drop below freezing.

What to do

Water recreation at spring-fed quarry: Natural Springs Resort features a spring-fed quarry with exceptionally clear water for swimming and fishing. "Very nice and clean Campground. The lot we stayed in was a good size and was right on the spring," notes Michael D., who appreciated the proximity to water activities.

Explore nearby parks: Cabin lodging options provide convenient access to multiple state parks within driving distance. At Kamp Modoc, one visitor noted, "Bath Houses, Laundry, General Store, Small Grill and Pizza Oven. (Pizza is not half bad either)." The camp's central location makes it ideal for day trips to regional attractions.

Family entertainment: Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Indianapolis East organizes regular scheduled activities for children. "This is just a really cute park to camp in, especially with kids. There is an abundance of activities to keep you and the little ones happy, especially around holidays," shares Debbie S. Weekend programming includes themed events and character appearances.

Disc golf course: Cornerstone Campground maintains an on-site disc golf course for guests staying in their cabins. One visitor mentioned, "Totally delightful, some full timers and part timers, many parks and benches to sit on, nice disk golf course." The course winds through wooded areas and open fields.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Kamp Modoc receives consistent praise for maintenance standards. "We went here Memorial Day weekend and had a great time even though it was chilly and rainy. The pond was great with the inflatables and water toys available for use. The camp store is large and offers food," reports Amy H., highlighting the well-kept facilities even during inclement weather.

Level sites: Cabins and camping areas at Cornerstone Campground feature properly graded sites. "The owners are very nice, campgrounds are super clean, lots for my children to do. My only complaint is, it's your typical campground where you're right on top of your neighbor," explains Kelsey R., noting the trade-off between amenities and privacy.

Pool facilities: Several rental cabin properties maintain swimming pools separate from natural water features. "Love the pool if you have kids this would be a place to stay for a few days," mentions a visitor at Indianapolis KOA, where the splash features particularly appeal to families with younger children.

On-site food options: Cabins near Selma typically have limited kitchen facilities, making on-site dining options valuable. "We ordered pizza for dinner they deliver to the site which is nice. Ice cream available a lot of flavors and real ice cream not just soft serve," notes Mary T. about the food services at one location.

What you should know

Advance planning required: Cabin rentals fill quickly during peak seasons, particularly at Natural Springs Resort. "Been Camping here for over 8 years, Over 5 years as seasonal campers. It's a great place to relax and unwind for the whole family," explains a long-time visitor, indicating the popularity that necessitates early booking.

Payment policies vary: Some properties have specific payment requirements. At Wildwood Outdoor Escape, one camper noted, "Payment needs to be by cash or check which I thought was strange in this day and age. Everything is neat and orderly."

Highway noise: Cabins at certain locations may experience traffic noise. "This is a great campground for RVs and cabins, but unfortunately not for tents as the highway 69 is too noisy," warns David C. about Mystic Waters Campground, suggesting noise-sensitive guests should request sites further from roadways.

Wi-Fi limitations: Internet connectivity varies significantly between properties. One visitor at Wildwood Outdoor Escape reported, "They publish that they offer free Wi-Fi however the Wi-Fi is so spotty it barely works. When asked about it they said they have new stuff but the old stuff is what they're using."

Tips for camping with families

Seasonal activities: Spring Valley Camp Grounds schedules special events during summer months. "Really friendly staff. Love when they put concerts on. Love the swimming pool," shares Erin S., highlighting the additional entertainment options beyond standard amenities.

Water features for children: Inflatable water attractions provide entertainment at several properties. At Kamp Modoc, a visitor observed, "Beach and swimming area with water inflatables, and area to fish if you enjoy fishing. Several activities for kids." These features operate primarily during warmer months.

Age-appropriate amenities: Playground facilities vary significantly between properties. "Very clean, friendly staff and lots to do for the whole family," notes Chris B. about Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, where play structures cater to specific age groups.

Weather contingency plans: Indoor recreation options become important during inclement weather. "We went here Memorial Day weekend and had a great time even though it was chilly and rainy," recalls Amy H., mentioning the importance of facilities that function regardless of weather conditions.

Tips from RVers

Site selection matters: Mystic Waters Campground provides varying levels of shade and privacy. "RV sites are full hookup and very level. Lake at the campground is great to float around in on a hot summer day," explains Christopher N., emphasizing the importance of requesting specific site types when booking.

Utility connections: Power capacity varies between cabins and RV sites. "We used electric and water hook up. Free dump and dumpsters. Laundry unit available," notes Crystal R. about facilities at Cornerstone Campground that accommodate different camping styles.

Parking configurations: Site layouts impact the ease of setup and takedown. "Wide pull through spots with fire pits, picnic tables and plenty of grass," describes Tiana K., highlighting features that make navigation easier for larger vehicles.

Rental options beyond cabins: Several properties offer alternative accommodations. "It was our first night in our brand new RV. Our first RV. Wendy was awesome! She helped with the reservation, she greeted us when we arrived, she even called to make sure we were doing ok driving it the first day," shares a visitor about the staff assistance at Mystic Waters Campground.
