Burrell Park & Campground

This municipal campground operates from April 15 to October 15, accommodating RVs up to 60 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The facility provides free firewood and features paved internal roads that make walking easier, though the terrain includes some hills. Staff collects fees and distributes WiFi passwords during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sandy T. noted that "the bathhouse was older but was clean," while another camper mentioned the facility serves as a local hangout with considerable full-timer presence. Country roads lead to the campground with limited signage along the approach route. Campers needing supplies must travel a couple miles from the grounds. For a different camping experience, Hamilton County State Fish and Wildlife Area offers a more remote setting.

Busy spot

Busy spot with a lot of full timers there.  Bathrooms need a good refresh.  Park had lots of traffic up until quite hours.  Did not get wifi code until following morning as staff works 7a-3pm.  This spot seems to be a local hangout.  Free firewood was a plus.

Great for Adults

We were there on Labor Day weekend. It was very quiet. I loved that our site was full hookup, very spacious, and they provide free firewood. The campground round was paved so nice for walking, hilly but nice. I didn’t have kids but I didn’t see activities available. They come around and collect your money and give you the Internet password, so if you get there in the evening you may not get it until later the next day. You have to leave the campground and go a couple of miles down the road for any needed item. Bathhouse was older but was clean. The road going into the campground was country rounds and not the best signage.
