Extremely dusty but great river views, bring fly tape!

Great riverside spots with easy road access. The road going back from the boat ramp to the sites is a little rough but ok for our travel trailer, it is extremely dusty here though. Longer trailers may have turning issues getting back the windy dirt road, but there is a turnaround at the back for anyone with a large trailer. Bigs are very active in June so I suggest fly tape inside campers. There are some sketchy clientele that hopped campsites a couple times a day and didn’t have tags, so I would suggest locking up or atleast making it look like someone is home. Try tubing from the dam to your site! It only took us 45 minutes to float 4mi! Lots of sturgeon and 2’ long trout swimming right on the riverbank, you can literally see them feet off the shore! Sites are not level so I suggest bringing a shovel to dig under one side and blocks for the other side. Watch out for foxtail grass, my dog got a bunch in his mouth and had to get a minor surgery to remove the barbs, thankfully vets in the area are very affordable!!

Great for overnight stop

The access to the water’s edge is nice. Our campsite has the basic amenities with fire ring and picnic table (a bit worn down). The vault toilet is clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

perfect roadtrip stop

This campground isn’t much, but it is perfect for anyone needing to find a place fast and free to either tent camp or sleep in their car. It also has water access so boaters are able to unload their boats here. There are bathrooms and it is fairly quiet at night.

Slightly Sketchy

My boyfriend and I stopped here on a pass through overnighter on our way to Montana. The campsite is slightly confusing, as road the takes you into the small campground, but also takes you out, to basically nowhere... so don't follow the road to far. Blink, and you'll pass the 5 campsites that are here. Mosquitoes are bad. Having an outhouse is nice, though there was no toilet paper stocked. There is a boat ramp for early morning fishing if need be. This place was sketchy because there was people driving by all night... not sure what that was about.
