Canyon Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Fishing the Payette River draws many visitors to this stretch of Highway 55, where Canyon Campground sits directly across the road from the water. The campground is small, forested, and shaded by a dense canopy of trees. Drinking water and toilets are listed as amenities, though one reviewer noted seeing no amenities on arrival in May 2021, so it's worth confirming current conditions before the trip. RVs up to 30 feet can drive in, and pets are welcome. Swinging Bridge lies about a mile south for campers who want a nearby alternative within the same corridor. The season runs April 20 through October 20.
