This is a very small campsite far enough off Hwy 21 to be remote and rustic but also close enough to be fairly easy to get to. There are only 3-4 campsites. The scenery is beautiful and there is a lot of wilderness to enjoy.
This RV park is right in town near all the local amenities. Lots to do here, hiking, boating, swimming. There are nice shade trees and nice space between campsites.
Everything about this campground is excellent. Beautiful location on a hill with views all around. Shade trees and well thought out campsite spots. Fills up fast for a reason.
This RV park is right in town. Close to all the outdoor activities that Donnelly has to offer. A standard RV park in a very nice location.
This campground is right in Donnelly and right on the river. We drove through there in April so there was still snow but the location for summer is great. Near the lake, near town, near the mountains. I would say this is a medium size campground for Idaho and set up for most types of rigs.
This is a small campground right off Highway 55 and across from the Payette River. There are 4 small campgrounds right in a row near here. There is plenty of shade and pretty good privacy. Not much room for larger campers or RV, better for smaller campers and tents. I did not get cell service here.
This is a small camp ground right off Highway 55 and across the Highway from the Payette river. Lots of shade trees. Not a lot of room for larger campers or RVs, mostly geared toward tent camping. I did not get cell service here.
This is a small tent camping campground right off Highway 55 and across the highway from the Payette River. Lots of shade trees. No amenities.
This is a beautiful spot to stop and swim or spend the day but there is no overnight camping here.
This motel/rv site is a great jumping off point for rafting, hunting and fishing! It has a pool which is great because it gets really hot in the summer. The RV parking is in back of the motel so its not very scenic right there, but the surrounding area makes up for it.
This is a great campground near the reservoir. Lots of shade trees, almost a park like setting. Plenty of room to roam from this base camp. It does get pretty hot in the summer.
This is a great area. There is camping around the reservoir and at the near by campground. Up past the reservoir there are roads to ride ATV's. There is not a lot of shade and it gets hot in the summer. Spring and fall are really nice times of year here.
This park looks to be both residential and short stay. It's right in town and has a laundry facility. Not out in the country so views and such are minimal.
This is pretty much a parking lot behind a gas station near the Idaho/Oregon border.
Granite Park has a chalet that you can stay in (reservation only) and back country tent camping away from the chalet. Fantastic views all around. Definitely bear country, take the necessary precautions.
This is a small campsite that is not part of the chalet. It's a little over a 6 mile hike in (up). Backcountry forest camping with no amenities except the beautiful Glacier landscape, wilderness and wildlife.
I have only been to there in the winter but I imagine that hiking in is just a beautiful! You need to bring everything but a bed and stove, which are in the yurt. Lots of hiking or cross-country skiing in the area.
Celebration Park is a nice place to spend the day but I have never spent the night there. It is really hot in the summer without much shade. There are a lot of activities there including hiking, swimming, fishing, the information center and atlatl throwing. There are also petroglyphs in the area.
I love Sperry. It's a little less that a 7 mile hike up to the Chalet, mostly up hill. Mostly forest hiking unless you hike up past the Chalet. There is back country camping by reservation. This is grizzly country, keep that in mind. You can get lunch in the chalet. The actual glacier is a few miles past the chalet.
The Sawtooth recreation area has it all. Camping, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing. Ketchum is the nearest town which is an activity all in itself. There are also hot springs in the area. We love it here in the winter. Miles of cross country skiing and snowshoeing. There are numerous campgrounds within this recreation area.
