Wellington Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and OHV trail riding. In the winter, the Wellington Snow Park (also located here), is one of the primary access points for many miles of groomed snowmobile trails and powder in the West Mountains. If you are a rafter or kayaker, this is the closest campground to the Cabarton (Class 3) and the mighty North Fork (Class 5) sections of the North Fork Payette River. This is also a great place to access Sage Hen Reservoir which has great fishing and a variety of motorized and non-motorized trails.

Horsethief Reservoir and Brush Creek are two other Valley County (Idaho) campgrounds in the area.
