A mile northeast of Almo, City Of Rocks RV operates as a newer private campground with flat pull-through sites accommodating RVs up to 60 feet. The facility provides electric and water hookups at each site, along with clean pit toilets and picnic tables. Firewood is available on-site, and campfires are permitted.
The campground sits within easy reach of City of Rocks National Reserve for rock climbing and hiking. A dump station operates at nearby Castle Rocks State Park for $7. Reservations can be made online or through first-come, first-served self-registration, with nightly rates ranging from $20-35.
Description
City of Rocks RV offers wide open mountain views at the entrance to the City of Rocks National Reserve. We provide partial hookups (water and electric 20/30/50), "Big Rig" pull-thru sites, Pioneer Bathrooms (rustic outhouse), Free WiFi, Outdoor heated shower, and the beauty and seclusion of the Silent City of Rocks and the Almo Valley. We are conveniently located 1.25 miles from the entrance to the Park on the City of Rocks Road. Big Rig access has always been limited in the City of Rocks so we made every site large with pull thru access; 12-80'-120' Pull Thru RV Sites and 6 tent sites. Public RV dump station is only 1 mile away. Whether you are here to climb, camp, hike, snowshoe, bird, fish, hunt, stargaze, relax, or all the above, we offer the ideal base-camp. We newly opened April of 2020 and as a result we don't yet have mature shade trees and the landscaping is scattered native grasses. We are continuously working on landscaping improvements to make your future stays even better.
