Perfect

Perfect sport for exploring Niagara and family fun. We had a beautiful shaded spot with W/E. Lots of room to spread out. Tons to do for the kids pool, mini golf, crafts, fishing, laser tag etc. Very nice staff, very clean, and a ten minute drive to the falls.

Plenty of Amenities

This is definitely a resort campground so if they’d what you’re looking for this is it. Plenty of activities and amenities (pool, jump pad, fitness and activities center, mini golf, fishing pond, restaurant, lounge, golf cart rental and taxi to and from the main beach town and gas station. The place is huge! Pads were large with full hook ups. No shade at all in ours. As we were close to the main entrance. Overall a nice place.

Gorgeous

Beautiful campground with spacious sites and easy walk to gorgeous waterfront views. Lots of trails. Very clean facilities and amazing staff. Loved this park.

Busy but great location

It was a short stay but we had a great site that had a little path to a fairly private beach which made it so much fun! It was a very packed campground due to the great location, which made backing in and then hooking up a little tricky so bring your patience during that time. Very nice staff. Super long lines for the dump station on a Sunday (we opted to just wait it out until our next campground)

Good Base Camp

It’s what I expect at a KOA. Nice level pull though spots, good amount of space between campsites, very clean facilities and plenty for kids to do(pool/mini golf). The only weird thing about the sites was the water hook ups were shared (which is tough for a pull through) so we needed three hoses to hook up. Not a huge deal just a tip. Super close to the docks for a trip to Mackinac Island which was great.

Great Spot to Explore UP

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The campgrounds are a bit “quirky”…lots of art and signs etc. BUT the owner and his family were really sweet and cared about the guests. They do not take credit cards…we had to mail a check to reserve. But it all worked out. Bathrooms/showers need work but the sites are nice and wooded. You can walk across the street to the beach along Lake Superior and are drive distance to Black Rock and Pictured Rock. They even have a brewery in the campground.

Lots to do!

This campground is perfectly situated on the Upper Iowa River. Had some beautiful sites along the river (couldn’t book one four our stay) but our site was nice (grass pad- spaced out fairly well from others) The best part of this camp is they offer tube canoe and kayak rentals with a shuttle to the put in then you float back to the campground. Also has a “pool”/man made pond with a beach all the way around it. Bathrooms and showers were clean (but very busy) and a nice camp store. Owners and camp hosts were awesome.

Perfect Peaceful Spot

This was dry camping at its best. Sites are wooded and offer plenty of shade. Well spaced so you feel like you’re all alone. Quick walk to the river or drive along the loop to the beach. Dirt pads but fairly level in our spot. (We did have a huge storm during our stay that crated a river in our site -so tent campers may want to chose wisely) Bathrooms could use a good cleaning but we didn’t really use them.

Quiet Peaceful Retreat

Perfect place for a quiet and enjoyable family retreat. Many sites have private access to Leech Lake (with a beach - Sites 12, 14, 17, 19) but they have plenty of public trails (short ones) to get swimming fishing and boating access. Clean showers and bathrooms. Well kept grounds. Lots of space to spread out. And it is so quiet! Absolutely amazing place.

Perfect Place to Relax

Probably one of my favorite campgrounds. VERY spacious sites! Electric only, but it’s camping right! Clean bathrooms and showers. The best part is that they have many paths down to the Missouri River for some great fishing and if you are a polar bear swimming. Absolutely loved this place! Would definitely return.

Great for exploring Badlands

Only a mile from the National Park with full hook ups (which we enjoyed with the 113 degree weather). Typical pull through (kinda pack you in spaces) but if you aren’t spending much time at the park then it’s all good. Laundry and showers which was nice. They have an above ground pool (that we didn’t use) and a small store and restaurant that serves a limited breakfast. A great spot for exploring. Definitely do the astronomy ranger talk at the amphitheater if your here! Every night at 9pm

Huge State Park Campground

Large state park with tons to do. Spacious RV campground. Electric hook ups. Water and dump station. 8 miles south of Chadron, NE. They have a pool ( you pay to have access) paddle boats, fishing pond, horseback trail rides (only $25/person), hiking and biking trails. Bathrooms and showers. Beautifully kept. A great find!

A place to sleep

This is an RV park with mostly long term residents. Good location near Hoorsetooth Reservoir and State Park, about an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park. Gravel lot with full hook ups but you are close to neighbors. No bathrooms or laundry. No bad for a place to sleep but we prefer more nature when camping.

Great base camp

We stayed five nights and this was the perfect base camp to explore Arches, Canyonlands, and Moab. Full hook ups, clean, very friendly staff. Pool to cool off in after a hot day and a gas station on site. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the sites were a little tight (close together and short) but we made do. They do have premium sites that have great views and a lot more room but they were all booked. Overall great and we would stay again!

Spacious Flat RV Sites

Great State Park. The sites are well spaced apart giving plenty of privacy. We didn’t have much shade in ours but they provide a ramada on a cement pad over the picnic table which was great. Very spacious pull ins, full hook ups, and a quick trip to the beach (Eagle and Pelican Beach) Be aware that they DO NOT allow early arrival and will turn you away before 3pm even if the site is empty. I checked out the bathrooms/showers…seen better but not terrible. Also there is lots of noise from the highway and railroad which we don’t mind but light sleepers may want another option. Would stay again if we were in the Salt Lake area.

Gorgeous Sites

This is the coolest campground. Nestled in the lava flow in the National Park. We have a 30ft TT and arrived at the park around 1pm and had no issues finding a spot. Nice private pull through with grill and picnic table. Not much shade (as expected) and can get windy so watch your awnings. Most people seemed to arrive in the evening. Beautiful location as others have said but it is dry camping and FCFS.

First to Review
Peaceful Spot to Explore Cory of Rocks

This campground is in its second summer being open. Great flat pull through sites with water and electric. Clean pit toilets. Super close to the City of Rocks for exploring and beautiful views. Dump station is at the state park less than a mile away. $7 to dump. Owner is super nice and they are obviously continuing to improve the campground. Reservations can be made online or at a FCFS self registration desk.

Perfect place to beat the heat

Nice capacious campground on a beautiful reservoir. Cooled off during the hot days swimming in private spots on the lake. Water and electric hook ups, fire ring and picnic tables. There was no shade in our site but the ones closer to the lake had some trees

Good Stop Over in Tetons

Nice campground (definitely cater to the cabins which looked amazing) The RV section was really tight, sites were very close together. We were originally going to stay six nights but shortened to three just because we like a little more space and nature. But if you’re going to be out and about it’s a good place to base camp. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Great proximity to Jackson Hole and Tetons.

PERFECT for Yellowstone

This campground is just 8 miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone outside of Gardiner. We were in the electric only site but not a problem for us. They only have 50amp electric so bring a converter. Our site was right on the Yellowstone river with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. The perfect base camp to explore Yellowstone.

Also Yellowstone Hot Springs is located in the park. You get a discount if you are staying with them. It’s only $16/day and you can come and go as many times as you want. Perfect and relaxing after a day of exploring.

No dump station but there is a gas station 4 miles south just before Gardiner with dump.
