    Surprisingly lovely

We had to stay in the area for a few nights and didn’t know what to expect, but when we rolled into the RV park we were so pleasantly surprised. It’s wel maintained, big, and even has a lovely duck pond on the property.

The sites are evenly spaced, gravel, and level. All pull through a with full hook up. The check in was super easy. The location is right off the main road so it’s super accessible. Wish it were a little less noisy, you can hear traffic.

All in all, a nice place.

    Level & spacious pull through

We needed a one night stop & this was perfect. Made our reservations online the day before. Host called me the next morning to confirm arrival time. Hosts were very kind, and escorted us to our site. Site was big, level, and pull through with full hookups. Long term rigs were kept pretty clean as I could tell. We didn’t use any facilities so have no comment on those.

Kelley's RV and Mobile Home Park

    Originally, not for campers/motorhomes.

Although it is RV and motorhome friendly, this isn't your average camping spot, because it was not originally designed for campers and motorhomes. You are about 2 miles away from the Lake Eufaula, and it has no playgrounds or any other extras at this facility. This is designed more for long-term living and not just daily or weekly camping. But if you're looking for a regular trailer park to stay in, you found a great one!

Nice new RV Park in quaint Cuthbert, GA

This nice, new RV Park is located in quaint Cuthbert, GA and offers nearby access to good hunting & fishing and hiking/trail running at Providence Canyon. This RV Park has full hookups and laundry as well as a cute covered commons area that has ceiling fans, an ice machine, grill, beverage fridge, picnic tables and fire pit. There is a store right across the street that has cheap fuel, propane and groceries along with fishing & hunting supplies. This park is brand new and has lots of small oak & magnolia trees planted that will be absolutely beautiful once grown up a bit.

The owner is a young hardworking guy who is nice & straight shooting but also not all up in anyone’s business. The RV Park has perfect winter weather for snowbirds, is peaceful and has a clear night sky to view the stars. This park also honors Passport America

    Chehaw Park Campground

    So much potential...

A little background: I used to live five minutes from this park, and it used to be the first campground we visited every year to work out all the gear details. Back then (2012-2015), it was great! Absolutely beautiful, well maintained, gorgeous.

Now... the park itself is still great. Obviously it was hit by a hurricane, but the cleanup and improvements are coming along in those areas. They playground has always been amazing and they’ve added a Splash Pad right next to it. (We were in town to visit family so we didn’t get to enjoy those this time).

But y’all are here for a campground review, so here it is.

Registration. You cannot register online, you must do it on the phone or in person. All of the sites with full hook-ups are taken by long-term folks (probably staying there while their homes are being rebuilt from the tornadoes and hurricane?), so they are $20 a night for water/electric. When you register over the phone, you are charged an additional $15 fee. (When I checked in, they said I would receive a refund of that $15 as a check in the mail...?). When I called the day of check-in to get the gate code, they had no idea who I was and initially wanted me to pay for a site, again. After some shuffling they finally found my paperwork.

The tent-only side still looks fine. Plush grass, large spaced out sites.

However, the RV side looks a bit rough. The sites are no longer gravel, just dirt (or, this weekend, mud) and some grass. The sites aren’t maintained between campers (as I got a half burned log, empty pack of smokes, and paper plates in mine). I was actually placed on site 7, which on the campground map is NOT a “buddy” (shared) site, and told to just plug into the same pole as the guy on Actual Site 7. Thankfully he was 50A and I was 30A so it worked out. (Although oddly enough, several full sites remained empty the whole time I was there). It rained most of the weekend, and everything was covered in wet dirt chunks when I left.

The bath house... could use a little love and a fresh coat of paint. If you can avoid the side bathrooms (maybe handicapped? The ones with just a toilet and shower), then do so. Aside from teeming with flying wildlife (which, it’s South Georgia, you have to kind of expect that), it could have used a good cleaning. The regular restrooms were passable (better than some gas stations but not as clean as state/national park I usually visit).

I understand that the area was impacted by a hurricane last year... but a little bit of cleanliness and care goes a long way.

    Quiet with a beautiful view

We stayed for the weekend. Our camper was located directly on beautiful Lake Seminole. The campground is spacious with full hook up to include sewer, water and electric. There was plenty of room for parking.

I did not use the facilities so I can't comment on them. I do think the grass could have been mowed a little more recent.

    Spring Creek City Park

    Good break from the road

Decent little RV Park for just pulling off the road for a break. It’s well kept and has 7 spots for Water/Electric hookups, and 9 spots for regular vehicles. A few picnic tables. NO BATHROOMS, but it’s right next to a Shell gas station.

Kind of looks like an abandoned parking lot so try not to pass it, because there is not sign either. The playground/city park is behind the rv park.

Good place to camp if you want to hike Providence Canyon

We camped here for 2 nights in early March, so that we could hike Providence Canyon.  Campground and bathhouse are clean, but not much privacy.   We were facing two of our neighbors.   There is not a lot to do in the area except for Providence Canyon, and of course, if you have a boat, the lake at Florence Marina.  Poor cell service, but they do have full hook-ups.   Campground was quiet.

    Great place to overnight

New park only been open a few months. Level lots 3/4 mile off the hwy so its very quiet. Full hook up 50,30 and 20 amp. Saw a turkey gobbler in the driveway when I pulled in. Owner says there are about 40 in the area and a few deer. Horse barn is under construction but he did have available pastures.. catch and release fishpond with a nice dock..most sites are 75 ft pull through gravel and grass. I stayed in site 24 but there was lots of availability. Half the park was available , he's just opened. Bathrooms and laundry are still under construction. There were a few travel nurses staying here but everyone else met was passing through. I stayed longer than planned because it wasn't expensive and very quiet. Stores and post office are 3 miles away. Its really a big farm with a persimmon orchard but I missed harvest season. Persimmons are ripe October-December. Owner has 230 Japanese persimmon trees. I'd like to return at harvest time.

    Florence Marina State Park Campground

    Lakeside Camping for Fisherman

This park is located in the small town of Omaha, GA, you will need to plan your stay accordingly for supplies as there is no shopping available within a few miles. The town of Eufaula, AL is 20 miles away and Lumpkin, GA is about 16 miles away, these are the closest places to get supplies and food. This park is a great place to plan fishing activities on the Walter F. George Reservoir (Lake Eufaula). There is a well equipped marina for short and long term boat storage/docking and also includes fish cleaning stations on site. There is a boat launch area and the camp store is equipped for most of the fishing supplies you will need.

The camp ground is an improved campground which includes water, electric, sewer, tables and grills. The roads through the campground are paved with ample room for maneuvering all classes of RV’s without issues. The bath houses are very clean and well equipped. For detailed information you can visit the Park’s Website at https://gastateparks.org/FlorenceMarina. There are a few trails for hiking down by the waters edge but we didn’t use them during this stay.

The only negative we can offer is the area was very wet when we visited due to rain the days before. Many camp sites were not useable with visible water standing and the areas around the bath houses were also flooded.

    Newer campground

Newer RV park. Clean restrooms. Pool and dog park are some of the amenities. There is a boat ramp and docks/slips, but the lake was almost empty - no fault of the campground. Some sites are paved some are not. No privacy between sites. Electric capacity lacking. Only had an amp hookup but needed outlets for our popup. No fire rings - need to rent. There is a store/gas station at the front of the park. Would not stay again for personal preference.

Nice campground and a perfect location to Providence Canyon

Stayed on a long pull- through site #9. Full hook-ups was a nice surprise. Sites are spacious, campground was full and it didn’t feel crowded. Nice park to take a walk l, you can rent a boat and I hear there’s some great fishing ( I’m not a fisherman). Stayed there to visit Providence Canyon. There’s two playgrounds, nothing special but my kids got a chance to play a bit and stretch after the drive. Cell service can be challenging, T-mobile was only Edge service ( remember that?) was able to stream video for my kids on AT&T and Verizon. My site was totally wooded and that could have contributed to the difficulty in cell service.

    Quiet State Park

Had a nice weekend at this small state park. The site was very clean with fire pit, picnic table, and full hook ups including cable. The fire pit had been cleaned out before we arrived which was a nice surprise. The bathhouse was centrally located and was spotless. It included an interior wash room and was heated which was appreciated on the chilly evenings. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Showers also had a separate changing area with plenty of shelves and hooks to keep clothes dry. Loved the recycling on site! The sites are pretty close to each other and because it’s located in a pine forest, there’s not much privacy but enough space to enjoy the patio. We’re glad we checked it out!

    Nice big campsites

We stayed in site # 81 it had full hook up and was on the water/lake. It's a big site and a quiet campground. The price is right with a National Park Pass  we paid $13.00 a night, had a picnic table and a fire pit. We kept the kayak near the lake & launched it right there. There are some gators  in the lake saw them kayaking. This campground is big having several loops. Our site was great but the best sites were #73, 81, 79 & 72 was at the end very private but had a big tree down. Hurricane Michael came through there & tore things up.

There is a swim area, boat launch, some small hikes in this campground. I would stay here again. This campground borders GA & AL the time on our clocks was reading Al. time.

    Nice campground

We stayed in site # 16 it has full hook up. The park was busy it was Halloween they have a haunted boat ride and a hayride.  Great place to spend Halloween. It was decorated well and there was a fest going on we won a basket of goodies. We walked to the lake there were so many dragonflies it was cool. The birds were swooping up the dragonflies it was interesting to watch. We would go watch sunset at the lake funny our phones read Al. time not GA time.

We had a good time in the park you can kayak or rent a little boat it was cheap.  We rented a boat my husband fished and we drove around the lake. You can have a AL. or GA fishing license here the lake runs through both states. Lots of blooming Lilly's, big oaks with moss, shorebirds and gators.

Close to this park is Providence canyon which looks like a small Bryce canyon except it was created by poor farming. It's a neat place to see about 6 miles from the park. There's an old church there and some real old graves. There's a nice hike along the rim you can hike down in the canyon too.

Went into Eufaula to Antique and check out the town. The drive there and back is pretty.

    Above average - not great

The hostess was helpful & the grounds were beautifully kept. Our 11 year old grandson enjoyed the large playground & splash pad. We didn't even go to the little zoo so no info there. Plenty of room & full hookup at each site. The bathroom (not plural) was clean, large & seems to be wheelchair friendly but is rusty & really old. For our 1 night stay it was fine.

    Awesome!

Great campground! Full hookups and all waterfront sites! They do have a primitive area but I was able to check it out. This is a corp lake so half off with an access pass.

All sites have a concrete pad and gravel area! Plus a fish cleaning table! The sites are large so you dont feel like you are sleeping with your neighbors!

This campground sits on a massive lake so fishing is the activity of the day!
