An adventurous paradise away from the ocean paradise

I have read a lot of the reviews. I think some of these people had other issues that caused them to give a bad review. Yes, this is known as a cat haven but with people who have dogs should stay in the dog parks, If they don't accept a place that cannot turn a blind eye to cats. This is an RV park and a campground and I'm not sure why people would expect more luxury than the outdoors experience. This is a beautiful getaway away from the ocean but right next door, and people would love this place if they knew the history behind it and maybe honor it a little bit more. The impact from people that don't like this place gives it a bad reputation. Why listen to someone who don't want you to know about the experience? Just want you to know what they think about it. This is a great place and there are a lot of hardworking, honest people. This is not just a campground, people are residents here and have been here a long time, some would even call it home. There's nothing wrong with anything about this place. It is a wonderful place to be.

A block from the beach!

A block from the beach, a walk to the water park. Small but quaint. They have shower and restroom facilities. Quite. Staff was good to us. If your looking for a beach vacation...but in an RV, or tent. This is a good choice.

Great venue

This is an great campground. As things go tho, you gotta take the good with the bad. ~Poorly managed, if you wanna call it that. ~cat sanctuary, they are EVERYWHERE! ~2 pools ~ scary electrical ~rude staff ~short walk threw the Beautiful property To the Golf beach. ~ Unbeatable prices.

Very Nice and Centrally Located

We really enjoyed this campground. About 10min walk to putt putt golf, beach, and water park. Shady, clean, 2 pools are very nice. Can be a little noisy at night from road traffic. All in all, we will be back. Oh, great playground and fort looking structure for people with kiddos.

Close to the beach

Was raining when we arrived on Christmas Eve and the office was closing early. Very helpful. Site #71 backs up to possum pond which has real steep sides. Don’t fall in!. Laundry and showers are open 24-7 and the camp store is fairly well stocked. Walmart is close by if need be.

Great location

This campground is 1 block from the beach and pier parking lot. Thats the best thing about this campground, Location. We stayed here in Oct 2019. Sites have  FHU with cable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Campground did have some long term camping but it was soon after hurricane Michael. Grounds were clean. Bath house clean and operated normal but could use updating. Sites are very tight, Closest sites we have experienced at any campground. We will go back someday mostly for the location.

PS. difficult to back into sites on the front side of the campground due to tightness of sites and narrow road. Every time someone arrived or departed, Other campers would move vehicles to help ingress/egress.

Save Money Near the Beach

The location of this campground was perfect. We were walking distance to the beautiful beaches and pier of Panama Beach. There are a lot fun activities here. They have basketball courts, two swimming pools, laundry, store, fishing (no license necessary), shuffleboard, playground, volleyball and more. It is also close to a miniature golf course and water park. It was a great way for us to save some money while staying so close to the beach.

The drawbacks are that there are often locals that come to use the pools and that is not policed. They don’t clean up the trash very well around the campground and there are no restaurants or stores nearby.
