Half Shell Resort

This is a Mom and Pop campground. A cute Asian couple own the park and are VERY friendly. They helped get us backed in to our site. The sites are very close to each other. There are a lot of older camping rigs. Most are permanently there. There is WiFi, but it is very weak. The view of the St.…

On the rise

I have been here for a while. As a visitor and as a resident. I truly enjoy it here. It has undergone some changes for the better.

Great place to stay

We loved visiting this area, the beach was clean and nice. There was also great trails to walk/ride on. We also enjoyed the farmers market at the amphitheater close by.

Great for family camping

This campground is great. It is close to a lot of cities in Northern Florida, has restrooms, the staff are very nice, and much more. Its great for family camping thanks to the restroom/bathing facilities.

Nice Atlantic Ocean State Park

To kick off our snow fledgling trip we spent 2 weeks at Anastasia SP in St. Augustine Florida. This has SP has many reviews. There are several loops, for tents and RVs. We had electric and water. Most sites have some foliage and privacy. A few sites fit big rigs if you pull in just right. See…

Felt like Jurassic Park

It feels like a whole different world. It does flood easy so depending on where you are parked you can end up with a big puddle out of your door. The beach had soft beautiful sand at first but then it was not as soft.

Love this place!

We are staying here for 6 months.  The wifi is fast, the people are nice and management responds to issues immediately. The sunsets on the St. Johns River, the huge oaks with Spanish moss and the quiet setting make this a special place to have an extended stay!

Great little park

We stayed a month. Super nice owners. Close to town for all your needs. It's right on the St John's river.

We made some awesome friends while we were their. Can't wait to get back

Amazing Sunsets on the River

I've been here 2 months and love the peace and quiet and amazing sunsets by the St. Johns River. We go out by the marina and docks with our dinner and sit at the picnic table. All the units are RVers with no modular homes which I really like. The staff are helpful and caring.

Wonderful camping site!

We're not very experienced campers yet, but I can't imagine finding a much better spot than this! The campsites were clean and well maintained, but maybe a bit close together. Not a ton of privacy here. The facilities were a bit dated maybe, but also clean and fully functional. But the best part is…

  • Our campsite, a beautiful spot under some really pretty trees.
  • The Alligator Farm/Zoo/Bird Sanctuary is just across the road from the Park entrance. Neat place, worth the visit.
  • The St Augustine lighthouse. If you're into lighthouses you're already going, but if you're not I still recommend it. We've climbed several and this was one of the easier ones. Its quite large inside, much less claustrophobic than some. An easy climb.

Nice peaceful place to stop off for a night

This state park is real quiet and peaceful. It is spread out with two separate campground loops and cabins available also. The staff and other campers were friendly and helpful. We came in after dark and were having a hard time backing into our site and a nearby neighbor came over and assisted…
