Little Gem

This is such a charming little campground. The wading pool is so cute and perfect for families with young children and adults alike. The campground is clean, and has brand new bathrooms and showers (which are private! And free!). I only took one star off because many of the sites are very close…

Good place to camp

This is a very fun and interesting campsite. However one issue was the garbage situation. Had to walk a long distance to throw out the trash.

Nice Weekend Away

We’ve stayed from F-Su. We got a tent spot and it was perfect since it was the furthest one away and there was no one near us which is probably why we loved it so much bc we were so isolated. a little disappointed in the site though, we found broken glass on the walking trail near our tent and by…

Excellent view and beach

The bathrooms are clean. The place is quiet. The camps are well kept. Some camp sites are very small but others are really good. You will have neighbors. The view is great. My site was amazing. No close neighbors. Lots of space. Right near bathroom. Their is water and electricity at bathroom.

Great Stay

It was nice and calm at the campground. The staff where nice and the pond was beautiful. Very quite and relaxing. The sure we where on has a okay view of lake. Sites a decently spread out but I’d get sites near the water because those ones are the nice ones.

Nice campground

Was able to get in. Lots of seasonal campers. Has a swimming hole which encourages lots of bugs. Getting sung to sleep by frogs. Lots of pot holes. Nice pool but full of kids. Nice playgrounds.

Wide-open state park with cramped campsites

The park is huge with tons of space for picnics, beachgoing and - weirdly - parking. (Someone must've gotten a tasty asphalt contract.)

Unfortunately, all of the campsites are jammed into one quadrant, with very little distance between each. Our site (#17) was quite small and was not clearly…

Nice and Quiet

If you like nice big private sites, peace and quiet while providing a great location for fishing and hiking (Henry Buck Trail) then this is your kind of place.   Our family likes to get out into the hiking trails and hit activities in the area vs the all inclusive campground experience and this…

Mixed reviews

Mixed reviews. Pros: State park is in a beautiful part of the country - the Hudson River Valley - with a good location for visiting the towns, villages and hamlets on the valley. State park also has a good hiking trail network with trailheads connecting to the campground. Cons: the campground…

Nice park and facility

We first stayed at site 11, but moved as it is on the road and uninteresting. There are a number of “walk in” sites that are all lovely, I suggest the sites toward the back of the park.

Hot showers, bathrooms, and dishwashing stations are available.

Hiking trails are accessible from the…

Everything we needed

The sites were fairly close together, and there wasn’t a ton of privacy. G1, however, was separated from the rest by its own little drive. We appreciated the privacy, even if it meant being right on the main road. The 10 pm quiet policy was well followed by everyone. Bathrooms weren’t great, and I…

Rally 1

This campground is beautiful. Nice woods with rocks and a river. We were in the rally area which is like a group site because that’s all that was left for Fourth of July weekend. But the regular RV sites look like they provide lots of privacy.
