Great Location, Slightly Crowded

Love being close to Colorado Springs and garden of the gods. Was pretty busy when we went so didn't have a choice of sites. Camp was tight but we still managed to have a fire. Not very secluded or out in the woods but having a laundry facility and game room was a nice change of pace.

Rhododendron, Coffee, & Cool Dog

Really laid back campground. Owner has a really cool dog that will hike to the lake with you. They serve coffee at the house and have a nice back deck to drink it on. Wifi was an unexpected luxury. Beautiful area and really nice people! Great facilities as well Very family friendly.

Bobcats, Black Bear, & Wild Horses

Lot s of wildlife! We camped at an equestrian campgrounds, chestnut ridge perhaps? Saw a Family of black bear about a mile from camp then a bobcat in camp later that day! Great facilities and located very close to Wilbur ridge where the wild ponies are! The AT is very close and waterfall hikes can be accessed from camp.also lots of great bouldering in the area

Panoramic Views and Great Campground

Our site had some big boulders nearby which was really cool. Beautiful hiking nearby with breath taking views. Lots of chipmunks! Great place to relax and do some yoga. Would love to go back!

Great Location, Fiesty Raccoons

Beware of the raccoons. They are adorable but will literally steal your food right in front of you. We were set up for about 5 minutes before a raccoon appeared and swiped a large bag of sunchips off the picnic table as I was about to make a sandwich. Straight savage. Campground is a few minutes from Yellow Springs which is a beautiful town with a lot to see and do including a brewery and nature preserve. John Bryan park itself has some nice hikes and offers top rop rock climbing and repelling. Climbing routes are all available on mountainoroject.com Campground/Park also offers disc golf and volleyball with a ton of picnic areas. Facilities are not the best with outhouse style bathrooms, no showers. This isnt notmally an issue but we visited at the end of June and weather was crazy hot. All in all it's a pretty cool place. Had a great time and even ended up naming all the raccoons, Larry, Mary, & Baby Terry.

Peaceful Slice of Heaven on the Pacific Coast

Really cool atmosphere just steps away from the beach. The sounds of the waves can be heard right from your site. Nice facilities. Yurt is highly recommended and sleeps 5. Really liked that each yurt had its own deck, picnic table, and fire pit. The shrubbery around the campgrounds was really cool and offered extra privacy. They also had equestrian sites as well as tent and electric RV. Cannot wait to go back my only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

Close to the AT & Potential for beautiful views

Campground was very clean and had nice showers and a camp store on site. The AT is only 150 yards away from several of the sites. They offer everything from backcountry, RV, and primitive camp sites. Try staying on outer loop around site A60 and you'll be able to see the sunset right from your site (weather permitting) We really enjoyed this campground when we stayed in May 2018, unfortunately no sunset views for us since there was dense fog and rain.
