Fishing enthusiasts will find Oak Cabin positioned within Uncompahgre National Forest, where the US Forest Service maintains this established campground with electrical and water hookups. The site enforces a no-pets policy, which distinguishes it from many forest service locations in the area.

Campers planning extended stays can take advantage of the hookup availability, though the remote forest setting means limited services beyond the basic utilities provided. For additional options in the region, visitors can explore places to camp around Uncompahgre National Forest. Divide Forks Campground sits 2.5 miles north for those preferring a different forest service experience.
