Mineral Bottom Trail Campground

Mineral Bottom has primitive camping opportunities with minimal facilities. There's a parking lot at the overlook area that includes a pit toilet, but no water, electricity, or other amenities. Several informal camping sites can be found along the road leading to the overlook. Be prepared for deep sand conditions that can make parking challenging for some vehicles. This is a true backcountry camping experience requiring self-sufficiency. Bring all necessary supplies, including water, and be prepared for remote desert camping conditions.

Mineral Bottom is located approximately 13 miles from the main road, Island in the Sky Road, northwest of Moab, Utah. This remote area sits along the Green River and features spectacular canyon views. The road to reach Mineral Bottom requires some navigation through desert terrain. Its position provides access to the river and offers dramatic overlooks of the surrounding canyon landscape within the greater Canyonlands region.

Mineral Bottom offers several outdoor activities centered around its stunning canyon landscape.
