Stay 9/26-30/2020 in

Pros: Great location for use. Central to the sites we were interested in. Easy access and parking. Owners very helpful and accommodating of our needs. Owners live on property. The cabin we got for our Dgt was small but clean.

Cons: Road and sites need some work. Our site was not level. Weak WiFi provided. No cell service in park.

Will return to this park.

Quiet campground

This was a very well kept campground. They were always watering grass, which the kiddos loved the sprinklers. We stayed in the smallest cabin they had, but it had AC, bathroom with shower, and small kitchen. Owners were very nice. There are a lot of mobile homes here that people seem to have purchased, but it wasn’t overly crowded with them or additional campers. RV spaces were semi-close together, but you didn’t hear your neighbors very much. Recommend getting a spot on the East side so you could have an actual lake view since it is technically across the highway from the lake. Speed limit was a strict 5 mph and they enforced it! Playground was a little older, but the kiddos liked it. Their little store had everything that you may have forgotten at home.

Great stay!

Headed for Crested Butte for the wildflowers and had trouble finding a campsite to reserve for a Saturday night in July. I found one at this site and grabbed it for 4 nights. It was delightful and would definitely stay again.

Hope to do so. In high desert country, Lakeside is "home" to folks who like to fish, enjoy this part of Colorado, and do it in a Campground that feels like a community. We were offered fresh fish from one of the "neighbors".

Established long enough to have large Aspen trees for lots of shade, and with new owners who go out of their way to add amenities.

Most sites are for motor homes with full hookups. We had one of 6 tentsites which was quite large.
