Within Gunnison National Forest, Mosca operates as a US Forest Service campground positioned between two mountain ranges. The campground provides electrical hookups at sites but lacks water service, requiring campers to bring their own supply or utilize the available dump station. Each site includes a sheltered picnic table and fire ring.
Access requires driving back into the area, with the campground sitting near Spring Creek Reservoir. Reviewers note the lake can be dry during certain periods. The location offers views toward both the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and San Juan ranges, plus sightlines to the Sand Dunes. The no-pets policy restricts animal companions. For different amenities, Cement Creek Campground operates seven miles west.
