Beautiful views

This campground has amazing views, is very quiet and has electrified spots. A perk is that there is great Verizon coverage, so if you are working remotely you have a great signal. Another good sign is that there are a lot of state employees that choose this campground as their home for the season.

Taylor Park area

Couldn't get a reservation, so took my chances on a FF. Arrived around noon and snagged one of the last 2 open sites at Lakeview. Host was very nice, and the campground is, too. All the usual National Forest stuff, a few electric sites, no sewer, water available, clean toilets. Can see Taylor Reservoir through the trees, far enough from the road so no noise (except for some guy with an old, LOUD, generator). Checked out the campgrounds down the river valley, too. Lottis Creek was nice, similar amenities to Lakeview. It's the last with any electric. Make sure to check out the sites online, as some are not 'trailer friendly' (which was posted at the entrance). Also, Rosey Lane is between the main road and river, so the riverside sites would be great, but the rest are quite close to the road and not so good.

A Little Slice of Heaven

I’ve camped several times at this campground, both in a tent and in an RV. Close to Taylor Reservoir, so fishing is easy. Very quiet campground with lots for all to do. The surrounding areas are fun to go and explore. Nearby Tincup offers a lot of neat local history!

Beautiful view

I definitely see why the campground is called Lakeview! We had an excellent stay here with the exception of the hail and thunderstorm, but there was no planning for that. The site hosts we're very welcoming and friendly! My only issue is there were a lot of large RVs- one right next to us that had a huge generator which was REALLY loud! Very distracting when trying to get away from the sounds of the city.

Nice stay with a lot to do

There are a ton of activities to do in gunnison the campground is nice. The bathroom does not have flush water but there is water for drinking, but the water was a weird brown color so bring water before you go if you care.
