River sounds from the Taylor River provide a constant backdrop at this Forest Service campground positioned at 9,500 feet elevation in Gunnison National Forest. Dinner Station accommodates both tent campers and large RVs up to 99 feet, though the mixed-use nature means ATVs and motorcycles share the area during peak season. The campground offers drive-in and boat-in access, with drinking water, restrooms, and firewood available on-site.
Fishing opportunities draw many visitors to the adjacent Taylor River, while the high elevation provides relief from summer heat in lower valleys. Campers can explore additional campgrounds around Gunnison National Forest or consider nearby Taylor Park CO less than two miles northwest for different terrain options.
