Semi nice not great for big rigs

This is not a big rig friendly park. Really did not like it. A lot of trees close to the road, making it hard to move around. Sites are close together and haphazardly played out. Trees are not trimmed to a good height for a large rig. If you have a small rig, this may be a good place for you. They do have goats as mowers. Electricity fluctuated throughout the park 104 to 118. Be careful.

TIGHT SPACES - BEAUTIFUL PLACES

The campground is a very rustic setting with full and reliable hookups. The struggle to level up is worth it for the beautiful shady pine trees. Mountain camping.

Feel like I back home camping

This campground is the reason we bought into CRA and Coast to Coast memberships. I grew up and graduated high school in Monument. The Navy took me to California. Many of the camp site are small but there are many for the big boys motor home, class A, C's travel trailers.. very nice pool and two hot tubs. Four or five clubhouse, big campground firepit think three laundry rooms. Three bathrooms and showers. Very nice staff. There is a private fishing pond where you pay $4.50 to fish, limit is two fish, no throw backs. You will need your own poll and bate. This was our second on longest stay a full 14 nights. Last time was 6 nights. We will be back!

Lots of activities

We stayed here with family over Memorial weekend. Lots of activities and suited for RV/campers. Pool and two hot tubs throughout as well as a convenience store. Also mini golf as well as a pond you can fish out of. Sites close together with no privacy.

Nice spot with friendly staff

This campground features a fishing pond, pool, standard amenities (showers, store, laundry) and is close to Monument stores. Spaces can be tight.

Easter Vacation

Nice place to stay. I have a 42ft trailer. It’s a little tight at the entrance with the tree of shame. I didn’t hit the tree. So get there early enough that light is still out. Not like we did rolling in late. Other then that the RV park is nice. 20 min from Colorado Springs. 50 min from Denver

Camping in my hometown

Great campground on Monument hill about 25 miles north of Colorado Springs. It has a outstanding view looking south of front range. Close access to the Air Force Academy and all the great things to do around Colorado Springs. Then there is Monument it's self. One of two small towns to enjoy. Then the second is Palmer Lake. Where you can see Elephant rock on the side of hy-105. Then in Palmer Lake there is a must shop call the Rock House. Great Ice cream and sandwich shop. Great place to enjoy your icecream and the view! This town is where the old stream engines trains coming out of Colorado Springs would take on more water to continue their trip to Denver.

Short notice reservation

We needed a spot for the night, spoke with a very nice woman who got us in. This is a large campground with many summer amenities.

Expensive for service here

Expensive when you consider the pool and hot tub are not available for use. The paper work we were provided said “heated pool and hot tub.” Our location is quite unlevel. It took four blocks under all tires on one side of our Class A to bring near level. We had to put blocks under the rickety picnic table to even use it. There was no ice available in the machine near the office. The shelves in the store were quite bare. The laundry room had water on the floor, but no sink, so one or more of their washers are leaking. There are bulletin boards around, but they are empty. $1.50 for washer, and $1.50 for dryer. The internet is terrible. Worst of any campsite we have visited. The internet is recognized, then when you put in the password, an exclamation point pops up that says it is unavailable. I mentioned this at the office, and they said because there are too many people on it, so nothing can be done.

Awesome.

This place is absolutely wonderful, a lot of things to do there. This is no way a place to compare with Yogi Bear. Totally two different kind of places. Yogi is for kids and Colorado Heights is for everyone. It has mini golf, trails, game room, swimming pool, activities, dinners, monthly themes, movie nights etc... it's am absolutely wonderful place.

Stayed for 3 weeks during the spring.

Coronavirus suggested staying inside so the area was closed down. We are retired so we don't have kids but our two small dogs loved to take me on long walks several times a day. Winter made a late visit but it added to the beauty. We hope to come back after the virus and in the summer when the area is open.
