Over night stop on way Rushmore

Was nice one night stop on way to Mt Rushmore area. Did loose power about midnight. Same to neighbors power. Both our power protectors said reverse polarity. 25 minutes later power came back on.??? Was good night stay with daughter and two grandsons. In August 2020.

Close family camp ground

We have been there three times, twice for day trips when our kids were camping there and one time where our son's and daughter's family and us were camping there for three days weekend. Full hookups were use and enjoyed by all each time. On the T-Island sites you right on the water. Which is were we go. Both our kids family have Kayaks so that makes getting on the water great. Nice bathroom.

Military family camp CA

All of sites are big level concrete slab with full hookups, there seemed to be cable TV hookups, No WiFi. There is the base Commissary and base Exchange with gas station also few blocks away. Pre paid $35 a day over phone. Charge at check in.

CRA Main campground

This is the main campground for CRA, Colorado River Adventures, membership campground. Well Over hundred gravel pull through sites. Think the only back in sites are the ones that back up to the Colorado River. There are two covered pools to hot tubs, a kids one foot deep splash pool. A bar with Cafe grilled with great food for breakfast, lunch and dinners. Kids clubhouse, playground, miniature golf. Nicely stocked Camp store. Boat launch ramp into ColoradoRiver. Full hookups. Down side was if your not in or on the Water it was hot. Was there last October for two nights and was very warm in hi 90's but this time was 115° to 120°

Great camp Route 66

A well laid out RV park! Your GPS will take you to the front of the 66 Casino. You will keep driving west on service rood past Casino parking lot. On west end turn left and go straight back to gated entrance to RV park. The park has a pool, club hose group BBQ area, several bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, several fence in dog parks, most sites are pull through concrete level slabs sites with tables and fire pits at all sites. You get a card key to open gate for after hours and club house. High water pressure so pressure regulator highly recommended and sold in check in office. There is a $25 security fee that is returned to your credit card after checking out.

No local TV, only online, poor wifi

The Springville RV Park is well spread out very nice pull through down the middle and equally spacious back in on both sides of the pull through spots. Full hookups 30amp 50amp and 20amp power poll. The water spickets are in an under ground, green lawn sprinklers control box with an insulation blankets. Because this place does get snow in the winters. Don't want the water pipes to freeze. Don't think there is a decated dump station. But every campsite does have its own dump station. The whole campground is graded level with fresh gravel each spring. Which makes it nice to park and to get leavel you just have to raise or lower your tongue jack as the case may be! There are young trees which will make for some shade when they get bigger. They are making improvements with each year. There are not Picnic tables in every site. But after talking to Don the camp host you could get a spot with one at checkin or one if one is available at a nearby spot move to your spot. There is laundry room with a books and DVD to borrow or exchang system. We pickout two DVD to watch tonight. Tried to do an over air scan with our TV, but no stations found. So you will need to bring your own Satellite system system are your own DVD's or movies to watch. As with most campgrounds this place has a very limited WiFi. Writing this with it. But our Fire TV can't connect enough to watch. Was able to cast from my phone to watch a Netflix show using a patch cord till phone battery was use up. Over all this is a very nice campground. There is a Safeway Grocery store about a 5 minute drive down the road in town. The what you could say is a negative point. No play grounds for kids, (there is the very big flat oval drive way around the pull through area the kids could ride their bikes around, have seen a few doing that). It is a nice flat place to walk your dogs. There is no fenced in dog run areas. No bathroom or showers. It is on the list of improvements to come. There is not a Credit cards reader for payments. You can pay with a check, but to use your card. The Camp host takes a picture of it. Then sends it to the owner to run the card. After she has the info, she has the hose deleted it. The way I would recommend is to call her at check in to give here the information directly. She does not take a reservation fee when making your reservation. Still runs on your hand shake is your word you will be here and she will have spot saved for you. So if delay or need to cancel be a person of your word to let them know.

Wide long concrete slab parking

The whole campground is well spread out with big picnicking tables and fire 🔥 rings in each site. The parking pads are long. Enough so I could park two of my 25 ft RV trailers on the driver through camp sites and still have room for my crewcab long bed truck on the sites. The sites are well spaced out. The sites next to us on both sides are a good 40 feet on both sides. So your not right on your neighbors utilities stations. The Power polls has both 30amp and 50amp and 20amp power outlets. The fresh water spiket is the cold weather antifreeze type. The sewerage dump actually was good enough I was able to screw my 90° elbow into. No rock required on top to make sure there was no blowout when dumping. The landscape is a natural high desert 🏜 look to fit in with out side of park. There are at least three fenced in dog park scattered around the park. The same the bathroom, shower and laundry room with two washers and dryers. There is a large group Pavilion with several gas BBQ there. Pool house and pool, entertainment room. Over all a well laid out campgrounds.

$20 a night stay Electric only

This is a nice quiet RV stop. There is 50 and 30amp only connections. No water or sewer. There is a dump station and RV fresh water fill station. It is all paved except for a very nice ASTRO turf dog run. With water. Our dog loves it. There are provided dog poop bags, Just wish ALL pet owners would be responsible to pick up after their dog poop 💩. Our first night here I bet I pick up four or five other dogs 💩! Plus my own dog's!
This place is really a paved parking lot power station the RV share back to back power polls. There are a few people here that are stay and working in area.

Feel like I back home camping

This campground is the reason we bought into CRA and Coast to Coast memberships. I grew up and graduated high school in Monument. The Navy took me to California. Many of the camp site are small but there are many for the big boys motor home, class A, C's travel trailers.. very nice pool and two hot tubs. Four or five clubhouse, big campground firepit think three laundry rooms. Three bathrooms and showers. Very nice staff. There is a private fishing pond where you pay $4.50 to fish, limit is two fish, no throw backs. You will need your own poll and bate. This was our second on longest stay a full 14 nights. Last time was 6 nights. We will be back!

Great campground

We should have arrived and checked in by 3:30pm. But had a lack of gas issue. Passed up $5.90 stop. Has the range to go the 19 mile to next station for $4.78. But did not figure in the Frigging HEAD WIND, Went from 11 mpg to 3 and 4 mpg. Was 1.5 miles short. OnStar dispatch with in 5 minutes of our stop. 2.5 hr later back on Road. During down time call Cool Sunshine RV park to tell them we were still coming. Said sorry for our delay but gave us our spot no# C15, gate code to open gate. Had our welcome packet taped to office door with all others info about park. They said they were going to run my card for rest of our stay. Green Grass between and around park. Flat gravel roads and deep camp sites there are pull through down center of park. No pool. But two horse shoes puts, corn holes boards, some game called GA-GA pit. Like Dodge ball, but all in circle. Small finced dog park. Nice gate coded bathroom and showers. And Laundry room!

Blue Cut RV Park

This is a very nice small full hookups campground! Spot are small. But there are a few larger 5th wheel trails here. Michelle and her husband are very friendly and easy to talk with. Was open by her parents I think she said in 1956. She grew up here. Now runs it. Working on upkeep and improvements. Spots leavel to within and inch or two. The trains run 75 yards from camp. And can hear the highway to the west. But blue Cut is Located on east side of a canyon so cliff wall reflects sound. So if your a person who has to wear ear plugs when camping in the back country of a national forest, this is not for you! Have enjoyed our two day stay here at Blue Cut RV Park and will stop in when passing through this part of country.

Two nights stay

Right behind Nugget Casino south of big parking lot. Full hookups very clean. No tables, Level paved parking pads, only 15.

No Frills campground just Level parking.

Just a level parking concrete concrete pad pad back in only No tables just Water electric sewer hook UPS. Is a small horse Shoe shape location. Must check in with Nugget Casino hotel dest.

First trip of 2022

Was a great long weekend with family. Our trailer, daughter's trailer and Son's Motorhome. Rainy on Saturday. All had a great time, especially the 2.5 year old granddaughter.

Camping in my hometown

Great campground on Monument hill about 25 miles north of Colorado Springs. It has a outstanding view looking south of front range. Close access to the Air Force Academy and all the great things to do around Colorado Springs. Then there is Monument it's self. One of two small towns to enjoy. Then the second is Palmer Lake. Where you can see Elephant rock on the side of hy-105. Then in Palmer Lake there is a must shop call the Rock House. Great Ice cream and sandwich shop. Great place to enjoy your icecream and the view! This town is where the old stream engines trains coming out of Colorado Springs would take on more water to continue their trip to Denver.

Close to home here in Modesto

They offer senior and military discounts. Both tent and RV full hookups around a lake. The only real problem is there are a few months during the year that they restrict the human contact with the lake water due to all the waterfowl poop in water. Many Geese that use their winter homes.

Close to our home. Just over 2 hr

We had just bought our trailer and went there with check it our with our daughter and son-in-law as a day trip to mountains. It reminded me of Lake Pillsbury north of Clear Lake Ca where we as a family had been camping since 1981. But with just over 2hr drive not 6hr with trailer. There is a pool, and kids pool. Great showers, basketball courts, volleyball, you can bring your horse. Trails to ride a mountain bike ride or hike. There is a nice dump station. There is also a honey bucket truck that comes around to all camp sites Mon, Wed, and Fridays to dump your gray and black tanks. Breakfast Lunch and dinner are available at clubhouse in the ghost town great price. About 20 minutes down Hy50 is the Red hawk casino. We were not going to buy in to the CRA Colorado River Adventures membership. But it came with a Coast to Coast membership. So with our CRA and Coast to Coast memberships we can stay up to 14 days in one campground for free. Figuring say $50 a night that would be $700 saved for a 14 day stay.

Ghost Mt ranche RV campground

It is our home Campground with our CRA Colorado River Adventures membership. About 1.5hr from Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Built thick forest of the Sierra mountains. Nice size campsites. Water and Electricity only. There is Honeybucket truck that comes around Monday Wednesday and Friday. A dump station on site. Great place to camp. List goes on and

Camp close to home.

Nice campsites full hookups
