dispersed sites

right off the highway you pull onto a dirt road, path is pretty rutted but my van made it no problem. Bigger rigs would have issues. Some highway noise but to be expected so close to the road. Open space for dogs to roam while at site. Good Mountain Views! Decent place about 10 min from Leadville.

Good!

We needed a last minute spot and this was just fine for one day. Got there around 8-8:30pm and found a spot with a fire pit. It’s a pack in-pack out type deal. No restrooms, hook-ups, trash, or anything like that, that we are aware of. Very simple sites. There were mostly campers and maybe one other tent. It’s was a little misty in the morning. Some noise from the road. Super close to Leadville so that was nice. Overall, would stay here again for a last minute spot.

Not bad about ten sites

I stoped and checked it out. Very easy access from CO91. The road was really wet and rutted so we decided fo move on. 2025.05.15.
