No Access, Bad Road + Dirtbikes

The main road took me to this closed entrance sign. I shot back around towards the other way and went up a real bad dirt road when I saw a bunch of dirt bikers and just left. This is a no go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Miners Cabin Campground located and how do I get there?

Miners Camp is a BLM dispersed camping area that has presented access challenges for visitors. The main entrance has been reported as closed, with signage indicating no entry. Alternative access routes involve navigating difficult dirt roads that may not be suitable for all vehicles. Before attempting to visit, contact the local BLM office for current access information and official directions, as conditions and accessibility may change. GPS coordinates or detailed maps from official sources are recommended to avoid navigation issues.

What facilities and amenities are available at Miners Cabin Campground?

Miners Camp - BLM Dispersed offers very minimal amenities, consistent with typical dispersed camping areas on public lands. You should expect no developed facilities such as restrooms, picnic tables, potable water, or garbage service. This is a primitive camping experience requiring complete self-sufficiency. All supplies, including water and waste disposal, must be brought in and packed out. The area appears to be frequented by off-road enthusiasts, particularly dirt bikers. As with all dispersed camping, follow Leave No Trace principles and be prepared with everything you need for your stay.

Is Miners Cabin Campground related to the historical mining operations in the area?

Miners Camp - BLM Dispersed likely gets its name from historical mining activities in the region. While specific details about its direct connection to mining operations aren't well-documented, many BLM dispersed camping areas in mining regions preserve these historical names. The area may have served miners during active operations or been established near abandoned mining sites. For those interested in the historical aspects, checking with the local BLM office might provide more detailed information about the mining heritage of this particular site.
