    Dogwood Springs Campground

    Rustic

Dogwood Springs in Jasper AR is definitely rustic and unpolished with regard to its setting.  RV sites do have full hook-ups although we had an issue with the sewer draining properly on site 31. With only one bath room each for men and women and one shower each as well, they do provide the basics. We had an opportunity to peek into a cabin and we were very impressed with the set up, having a full bath and mini-kitchen. It was well appointed and inviting.

The lay-out of the campground is a bit odd in that some sites are only accessible by driving through another.

The view from site 31 included that of Round top mountain but also vacant, declining commercial buildings near the campground.

Proximity to stores and restaurants in Jasper was handy.

    White Buffalo Resort

    Can't beat it!

It's such a beautiful place, right on the White River and the Buffalo River, just yards away. The best of both rivers. The resort is well maintained and the staff is friendly. There's a pool in the summer and a ping pong table. The bathrooms do not have air conditioning, but are clean.

    Dam - Quarry

    Clean campground, nice location

Average space between sites. Level paved sites with gravel picnic area including picnic table, fire ring, lantern hanger. Some sites had covered picnic area. Limited shade, most sites don’t have trees. Good access to sites. Clean and private bathrooms. Each room had its own lockable bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Garbage cans were outside of bathrooms, as well as dumpsters near the registration building. Friendly staff upon check in. Campground was patrolled regularly. No laundry or recycling. Nearby road with little road noise. Verizon cell signal was excellent. There is a dump station and potable fill station. No store or food for purchase on site. No hiking in campground, but multiple trails nearby. Boat ramp at campground and lots of wading fly fishing in river. Fish hatchery across from campground.

    Excellent camping

We have stayed here multiple times and have taken advantage of the platform tents, the huts as well as primitive camping. The facilities are always super clean and in great condition. Having the on-site store and gas station is awesome as we always forget something and it’s loaded with most everything you may need. There are tons of nearby activities from hiking, fishing and kayaking and much more. We typically make a day trip out to Eureka springs as it’s only an hour away and cool downtown area. This is a staple for our camping.

    Sylamore Creek Camp

    Quiet little campground

For a small campground, this place has a lot to offer. Well stocked store, RV sites, tent sites, group sites, cabins, pavilion, and even a stage for events.

Quick access to the Syllamore Trail, the creek, and nearby mountain biking trails.

    Awesome Campground

This place is great! We stayed in one of the platform huts and it was extremely clean. We stayed in the middle of July and the AC was turned off when we arrived but within a few hours the hut was completely cooled down which was awesome. Kids loved running around in the well-kept open areas and playing frisbee golf. The bathrooms were EXTREMELY clean..like spotless which isn’t always expected at a camp ground. The store is also a plus and has just about everything you might need if you forgot anything. Overall an A+ experience for relatively new campers with small children. We will definitely be back.

    Dogwood Springs Campground

    Great Owners

The owners were very friendly and helped direct us to our site and made sure we got backed in with no issue. It is a ”resort” style campground meaning your parked very close to each other. Considering it’s one of the few, if not only full hook up site in the Jasper area we figured we would give it a shot. There was a review mentioning being blocked in since there 2 campers on one row. That is true that 2 camper share a row, however the owners made it clear that it’s planned out that we wouldn’t be blocked in. They plan a long and a short trailer so there’s plenty of room length wise, the person parked in front of you is also checking out a day before you. On top of all that, there is always room to hookup your truck and leave, it’s just a tight fit and more of a parallel parking situation to get to your hitch. Showers and bathrooms were spotless. I also had very slow draining sewer hookup. I think they’re working on that, they had a plumber on site snaking the drains. Overall absolutely no complaints, it’s exactly how it’s portrayed on sites. Not my typical camping setup but for being a resort style, still was a great trip.

Denton Ferry RV Park & Cabin Rental

    Hot in summer

This is probably an excellent site in spring or fall. However summertime is hot at the site because of the lack of shade trees. Site 15 is by the water and has a large area for dogs or family. There is a staircase down to the water next to site 8. The fishing is good. It’s a pet friendly site however if your dogs bark neighbors will complain. The manager is friendly. They do not have trash pick up service; you just take your trash to a dumpster at the end of the camp, which is not a big deal. No grill available but has picnic tables and fire ring. WI-FI aid very good.

The campsites are close together but the amenities are worth it. Very family friendly. Right on the White River with easy access to the Buffalo River by boat, canoe, or kayak," reports Ashlee B.

We got all setup and enjoyed our time around Gilbert. The quiet little town with some live music occasionally," shares Dustin D. B. about his stay at Gilbert RV Park.

Tips from RVers

Site selection considerations: Choose your site based on size requirements. "We had a pull through site in loop N that was perfect for our 41' fifth wheel...plenty big, clean, and level. It was a little sunny, but other than that no complaints. The other loops were more wooded, but wouldn't be good for big rigs," explains Caitlin B. about Dam Site Campground.

Hookup availability: Many campgrounds offer full hookup options. "They have all levels of sites: primitive, water and electric, or full. Their small store has firewood and many other convenient items for sale," notes Sandy R. about the variety at Sylamore Creek Camp.

Seasonal crowds: Plan ahead during peak times. "I don't enjoy camping here during summer way overcrowded but is wonderful this time of year!!! Enjoyed our weekend!!" mentions Lori H. about Dam Site Campground, highlighting the benefits of off-season visits.
