RV park options within 30 miles of Damascus include Knights Landing RV Resort, Magnolia RV Park LLC, and Silver Eagle RV Campground. Knights Landing features full hookups with water, electric, and sewer connections on spacious sites surrounded by three fishing ponds. Magnolia RV Park accommodates big rigs with 50-amp service, water, and sewer hookups, operating year-round with market access on site. Silver Eagle in Hampton provides 22 RV sites with both 30-amp and 50-amp electric options, though sites are positioned close together with limited privacy between motorhomes. Cell service varies significantly throughout the area with AT&T offering the most consistent coverage, while Verizon and T-Mobile connections can be spotty in more remote locations. Most established RV parks provide sanitary dump stations, with Lake Columbia RV Park, Love's RV Hookup, and Magnolia RV Park all offering this essential service. Parks generally permit pets with standard leash requirements. During summer months, rates at some facilities increase, with Knights Landing RV Resort charging $45 per night according to recent visitor reports. Limited shade at several parks may affect comfort levels and solar charging capabilities during hot weather.

    Beaver Dam Campground

Home of the Sugsr Cane National Recreation Trail

Great US Forest Service campground especially if you enjoy hiking, biking or fishing. The Sugar Cane National Recreation Trail loops around the lake. The campground is a loop with approximately 30 large and level sites with electric and water hookups. Some are on the lake and some more wooded. All feel very private and spacious. There’s a dump station nearby. The sites are $25/night.

    Tom Merrill Recreation Area

    Outstanding

Beautiful and well kept. Bathrooms smelled great and clean. Shower hot and clean but needed a shower head and a touch up of paint. Bank fishing is good. Trails, a few exercise equipment, playground, and friendly hosts makes for a wonderful experience. Concrete pads, electric, water, grills, and fire pits all well maintained. Cell service operational but not top notch. Site 8 and 17 best for tents. Definitely would stay again.

This is a very beautiful Federal campground. Sites are scattered. Lots of shade, large trees. We were in site 16, which has water access and views. Level concrete pads. Electric and water. Dump station only. Many beautiful hiking and bike trails. Kayaking, swimming , boating and fishing. Showers are restrooms were very old. Camp host was super nice and friendly. Picnic tables and large firepits on sites.

White Oak Lake State Park Campground

    Campsites with lake view

White Oak Lake is beautiful. Most, if not all, campsites offer a view of the lake. Spent 2 nights here in February. Only 2 other campsites occupied. Camped in a camper van. Except for nearby blasts (gunshots?) at 9am each morning, the campground was very quiet. The restroom/ shower facilities were very clean. The campsites are also clean. 30amp & 50amp service available. Fire ring, table, lantern hook, and water at each site. Good hiking trails. Tall pine trees throughout, but no privacy between campsites. Sites are close to the campground loop roads, and close together. Not sure if I would enjoy staying here during the peak season, but a good place to stay in the summer. Filks in the office were friendly & helpful. Fire is available for sale.

    Lake Claiborne State Park Campground

    BEAUTIFUL LAKE

Very pretty camping area. We stayed here at site 14. Had a long pier over the water, and plenty of space between campers. Not level ground, but we managed with enough blocks to get it level. This was a back in site. Water and electric, no sewer, but had a dump station. Absolutely no cell service. Lake Claiborne was a gorgeous lake yo kayak on.

Lake D'Arbonne State Park — New Lake D'arbonne State Park

    Resort like State Park

Lots of amenities. Tennis courses, disc golf course, hiking/biking trails, swimming pool, cabins, lodges, several playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions & WiFi. Very reasonable sites for $23/night unless you’re in the lakeside premium sites which are more. Laundry room next to the bath house and playground. I will definitely be back.
