Beautiful Place

We really liked this place, even though we picked the "wrong" campsite. Our site was spacious & level, I just wish I selected one on the upper loop- the views are nicer as well as the breeze.

Proximity to Hot Springs is great, Lake Ouachita is beautiful. About 3 miles west is a fantastic smokehouse (Burl's) with excellent eats. We will return someday for sure.

Nice, But Noisy

Ouachita Lake is gorgeous! Brady Mountain Campground was a bit too cramped for us. And unfortunately, we got one of the campsites right next to the water treatment system for the park. The cyclical noise was obnoxious, and there was no mention of this on the reservation or COE websites. According to the guy working there, this has been going on for quite a while now. At the time of our visit, there were no other sites available away from the noise. The site itself was lovely...great view! There is no water at the sites...you have to tote your own water to and from the dispersed water spigots. No wifi and sporadic TV antenna reception, but with the views and other fun things to do, why would you need them? The goal here is to get away and relax!!! It rained on our last day, so we drove around to the other area campgrounds for future reference! Recommend this campground, but stay far away from sites 50-56 (sites nearest the water treatment area).

Good Campground

This is a Corps of Engineers campground. There are no water hook-ups at the sites. only electric. The cell signal on the “down the hill” portion of the campground is pretty non-existent. BUT the views of the lake from almost all of the 74 sites are amazing!!! There are more 1st come 1st serve sites than reservable. It seems the reservable sites go really fast in peak season. There Is a prIvately owned resort that shares the property with the Corps campground. So there Is a restaurant and newly built laundry facilIty & camp store within walking distance. All in all a good campground.

Secluded and Beatiful

One of my favorite campgrounds. On the lake and perfect for canoeing, but close to Hot Slrings if you want to tour the bathhouses or Dane the night away at the hotel.

awesome views

the park was clean as any national park is. Lake Ouachita has over 210 Islands. I visited several each day on a kayak. I arrived at Memorial Day and basically had the place to myself. there are ample trees to hang hammocks from and pads for tents. the showers were cleaning and had hot water. I would definitely be back here. I left my kayaks on the beach about a hundred yards from my campsite for a few days with no problems.
