Very Nice but Busy

They have a lot of campgrounds but most are very close. Not a bad thing for those social butterflies but a little tighter than I like. Their bathrooms and showers are really nice. Clean and spacious.

It's definitely worth a visit but make sure to book well in advance. They sell out quick.

Definitely worth a stay!

I never start a review like this, but this park had the cleanest bath house/restrooms I've ever experienced! 2 stalls in the shower in this loop and they each had a clean shower curtain, a bench, hooks to hang stuff. Immaculate. Better than some hotels!

Stayed in site 104 in the loop by the boat ramp. Nice shade and long parking pad. Sense of privacy. The sites that back to the cove had terraced areas, so if stairs aren't good for you then skip, but the arrangement made for a large area to spread out relax. This site had an additional parking pad next to it that was right next to the tent pad. Handy for ent campers to unload or boaters for boat, plus there were extra parking spots in the cul-de-sac leading down to the boat ramp.

The lake is sometimes smooth as glass. Kayaks for rent and this is a must do. Visitor center was being remodeled at the time of visit. 2 short hiking trails. Great state park!

Beautiful, clean and quiet!

We stayed in Daisy for the Eclipse weekend and expected this place to be crawling with people, so we were so happy to see it was still amazingly clean and quiet.  We stayed in walk-in site #67, which was at the very end of the paved path from the parking lot.  The site had a very level and massive gravel tent pad, as well as firepit, picnic table and lantern post.  The hill in/out is quite steep, but the pavement makes it easy to haul with wagon, and I've rarely seen multiple water spigots in a walk-in area like that.  Our neighbors were a little closer than we're used to for walk-ins, but we had glorious views of the lake and very little traffic walking past our site, which is a blessing when you have two somewhat barky dogs.  The camp store sold firewood, ice and souvenirs and they were super-friendly, and one of the rangers even helped load the firewood in the car for me.  My only complaint is that there's only one hiking trail in the park, and it's just a very short nature trail and doesn't really give you a good view of the lake or anything.  However, there were many beautiful trails to be had within a 30-40 minute drive of the park.

Daisy State Park

I really enjoyed the location, quite, glassy lake, clean showers, kayaking rentals $20, the marina close by rented the Pontoons, and the lake was clean to swim in. If you have a boat, jet ski, kayaks it’s a great spot. Plenty of shade and the camp host are 100% wonderful such a pleasure to meet them. You will love your experience here.

We stayed in site 92. It was level, shady, and had a good view of the lake. The lake and park were clean. Would have given it a “5” but no sewer. Can’t wait to go back!

Gorgeous and Quiet

It was well-kempt and lovely. Very quiet and the facilities were in great shape. Lots of variety in sites including lots of nice places for tents.

The RV sites were a bit cramped due to the trees being very close to the pad. I couldn't put out my awning at the site i ended up in. The trees in the way are all marked, which leads me to believe they're in the process of thinning them out, which will make parking a lot less difficult. Water pressure wasn't great, so make sure your water pump is working. The staff was super accommodating and helpful when I asked to stay another couple nights at my spot last second.

The lake is beautiful and fun to kayak around all the little inlets. Lots of wildlife to watch.

Great Lake Activites

When visiting Arkansas you quickly can get a sense of just what makes the Natural State so spectacular.    But with over 50 state parks each one is very distinct.   Daisy State Park is one which has a large focus on the lake activities.

But while the lake might be a large part the camping offered here in the wooded forest areas along with the hiking and biking trails can really set it apart from other camping areas nearby.

I opted to check out the various camping looking and noticed a few common occrances.   Each is equipped with a picnic table, lantern hook, grill and fire ring.   However there is a vast difference for those who choose to stay in the improved camping loops and the primitive loops.   Improved camping is elevated and includes both electricity and water at the site.

Many of these sites still have water access although some of them are a bit more steep.  The primitive sites all are equipped with tent pads which are very large 12x12 elevated gravel pads but they share water spigots with other sites.   These sites are all walk-in and have nice parking only a short distance from the sites.  IN addition they do have Yurts available in one camping area.   These were available for 2 day rentals only at the time of my visit.

The restrooms at camp are in very good shape and include flush toilets, a full sink and vanity area and well taken care of showers.   Additionally there are water stations at the restrooms which have drinking fountains and bottle fill areas.

The campground has rental equipment for those looking to enjoy the lake ranging in price from a single hour to a full day of usage, but they also have boat ramps near the campsites with some trailer parking, this could get a bit crowded during summer however.

Absolutely Gorgeous Camping

We stayed here one night (I wish I had booked more) after digging for diamonds all day (30 min drive to CoD).

We stayed in 24 - it’s a perfect site for seclusion and access to the lake.

Woodsy camp ground

Beautiful, tall ponderosa pines cover this little park. Be sure to call and ask for a site that fits your needs. In loop A&B are small sites, loop E accommodates larger units. This park is on Lake Greeson however most site have a steep walk down to the water. Our site was 102 ,a back in that was easy to get into. Site 103 is nice also. These sites have a separate pad for a tent and parking.

Steep campsite

We had a great staybat daisy state park, we swam right at out campsite. The only downfall was that the sites are rather close together and aside from the driveway there was no level spot in the site. We had to set up on the driveway because we are tent campers but it worked out ok. However they did have a very nice playground so that was a plus. The hiking trail was a nice short walk through the woods. My two year old was able to walk the whole trail without assistance.

Great Park

Enjoyed our stay at Daisy State Park on Lake Greeson. There are a few sites with full hookups but we chose one close to the water with water and electricity. The site was paved and level and shaded most of the day.

  1. Noticed most camp sites are near the water. If you are in a tent. It can get a little cool. Nice tent pads, parking next to tent.

Our favorite state park

My wife and I are tent campers and have been to this park about 5 times. We prefer the 50 amp sites in campground E that come with water and electricity. The tent pads on these sites are level and well kept. We are parcel to sites 95 and 96 due to their close proximity to the bathroom. The bathrooms are very clean and we have observed the camp staff regularly checking and maintaining them. The office staff is very friendly. The park office sells ice and firewood along with other camping and RV supplies. The state park is located in the southwest region of Arkansas on Lake Greeson. Spring and Fall camping is pleasant with moderate temperatures. Summer camping temperatures are very hot. Make sure you have fans or some way of staying cool.

We were amazed at all there is to do on the lake and in the campground. You can even stay in a Yurt here! We enjoyed this campground. The bathrooms were even good quality.

Fantastic

Daisy SP is a fantastic SP located in the southwest corner of Arkansas.  The Camper and RV sites are level and big for any size vehicle.  The walk in tent sites are some of the best in the Midwest.  The sites are located right on the lake.  The sites have a framed out, level area big enough for am 8 person tent.  Each site has a light pole, fire pit and table and easy access to the parking lot in case you forget something.  The shower facilities are clean and modern.  There is plenty at Daisy from fishing to boating to a big playground for the kids.  The park staff are helpful and friendly.  It was not busy during out visit but I can see this park filling up in the spring and fall quickly, so reservations are recommended.
