The Red Canyon along the flaming gorge is AMAZING! GREAT fly fishing! Site 29 had 2 tables, views of Ashley Forest, and privacy. Very good campground with showers.
Great cabin with lots of comforts and a fireplace. Gorgeous area in the Black Hills with abundant wildlife, hiking trails, sights to see etc. Had the 1st snow flurries of the season!
Entire area was packed for Labor Day weekend. Decent site; trees/shade…but little privacy. Good access to all the area sights.
Easy access and views of the lake. Forested; private sites available. Interesting history/museum. Some short trails. Bring bug spray.
Pretty open sites; but the sites along the creek are nice and views of the mountains. Mosquitoes not as bad here as in Libby Creek area.
Could only manage 1 night here - only 2 campgrounds open over July 4th weekend due to snow drifts. Mosquitoes were HORRID. Very little privacy.
Great in the fall to listen to the elk bugling! Gorgeous aspens that quake in the breeze. Beautiful forest! Very well-apportioned cabin with shower.
Stayed in the Sheep Mountain Fire Tower. With gale force winds blowing the shutters off…and a steep walk to the vault toilet…we bailed early. However, the Bighorns are AMAZING! Saw my 1st moose! Take tent heater for the tower unless going in middle of summer.
PA is beautiful in the fall. Nice campground with some trails and access to Pottsville - for the best brewery tour ever - Yeungling! Check out the Jim Thorpe fall fest and Hershey Park.
VERY busy and loud over Memorial Day weekend; but GREAT hiking and AMAZING scenery throughout the Shenandoah area!
Very interesting history of the old furnaces. Gorgeous park - very PA-scenic!
Foggy mornings are the best in the beautiful forest near Schellsburg historical sites. Nice lake too. Easy access from the PA Turnpike.
Interesting location with lots of early American history nearby.
Really enjoyed the peace & quiet along this beautiful lake!
Outhouse style toilets…but pretty in the fall with views of the lake.
